Your survey total is truly inspirational, perhaps I'll need to start them again now that MB income has fallen off a cliff?
Ps. I find the best tip for butternut squash is to use a blimmin' sharp knife! One of these will fight off the most mahoosive of vegetables...0 -
Happy weekend BW. Hope you've had a good week.

Morning :hello:
Thanks for stopping in SSS, Hiddenshadow, Ed and MG - and for your nice comments and hints/tips
I've not been around this week as work has been tough. Lots of shocks and sudden changesI've found it mentally and physically exhausting and have not had the energy to be online much in the evenings. I've not even read that much this week  It's also made me want to 'hide from the world' this weekend too
A bit of good news though (which was most welcome this week!) is that my aunt is back at home :T
The saga with the boots didn't go smoothly either. I had an email from them which I hoped would be a positive response to my request for the retro-discount....however it turned out to be an order cancellation. The email was to tell me they didn't have the stock after all  I find this most annoying in this day and age when everything is electronically controlled.... Anyways, I have since found the same boots on another site for £15 cheaper... and I have been able to get 5% cashback too...I've been holding my breath to see if they also have stock problems...but last night I received a dispatch notice...so should be getting them next week!
Other news this week is that I've finally cancelled my L*vefilm account after a VERY long time. I wasn't happy with the charges that I was due to be getting from the end of next month and have decided to cancel now so I can get some of the stuff on my PVR box viewed instead. I was suprised to be told I was getting a refund of £5.99 back due to me not using the online video element of the membership... but was not going to complain. Better still, it went back into my account the next day :j so duly moved to mortgage as an OP
I have been keeping a list of the OP's made this week too:
£3.42, £7.68, £4.34 - all cashback items
£3.00, £10.30 - survey payments
£5.99 - refund
£5.02 - random round up to make a round total (I'm sure many of you get this)
Total OP for month £305
I intend to have a blitz of paperwork this weekend. Even though so much is now electronic, I still feel like it's taking over and I've bought some new box files in order to 'whip it back into shape'

Well done on the OPs!
Hope the boots arrive safely after all that drama.0 -
Good morning!
Thanks for popping in hiddenshadow
Paperwork was attacked yesterday. I ended up with a black bag full of shredding . I feel better for getting it done though and everything is in a much better (and usable order). Now I just have to keep it that way
I know it's early (as not Feb til tomorrow!) but since it's a weekend and the figures won't change now, I've updated my mortgage/OP spreadsheet.... and I'm happy to report that another month has been knocked off :j I will be making an appointment over the next couple of weeks to follow up on possible new providers
£2.02 cashback payment requested
Free e-book claimed too
Off to get more :coffee:...

Aww so sorry you've had a rough week BW :grouphug: I hope you've managed to recharge your batteries a little bit this weekend. You take care of yourself, get plenty of rest and take as much recharge time as you need hun.

Am impressed and jealous that you have sorted out your paperwork - a long overdue task in our house. Well done! :j
Hope this week at work is better for you.0 -
Afternoon
Well it's been another 'interesting' week at work. I've just been trying to keep my head down and get through it. I feel less weighed down by it than last week, so that's a plus
I managed to get out of work about half an hour early yesterday...only for the car to break down on the way homeSo had to call out the breakdown people. They towed me home last night and then today had to come back again to take the car to a garage. I just hope it's something simple to fix and not too costly!
Even my OP's haven't been smooth this week as the bank accidently credited one of them twice  I called them to advise of the error.... was hoping they might say keep it...but sadly not :rotfl: I am slightly peeved by the mistake though as it's taken a few days to correct and I have been waiting for it to be sorted so I can request an accurate redemption statement ready for seeing about moving my mortgage
Some better news is that the boots arrived and fit perfectly :T
The weather here is grim today...so I can at least enjoy being 'relegated' being close to home...(relatively) guilt free

Sorry to hear about your car, hope it's easily fixed.
Yay for the boots fitting!I'm not really a shoe person but I bought a pair of knee-high boots last year and love them in wet weather (plus IMO they look good, bonus).
