Oh no, how annoying about the cooker:mad:

I know exactly how you feel, everything in my house seems to be needing a repair at the moment.

Regarding your oven, I seem to remember we had a similar thing once. But we realised we'd put the timer on, so the oven wouldn't come on when we tried to turn it on normally. Once we disengaged the timer, to oven worked ok again.

Thanks for the suggestion re: the timer. Someone else had mentioned that to me and I have checked that. Sadly not the problem so will just have to wait until next week

Hope everyone is keeping safe in the wild weather.

Trains were all the up creek tonight and so ended up getting a taxi back to the station so I could collect the car. Not very MFW but I couldn't face hanging around for hours in the hope they might get something running at some unknown point in time. Definitely worth the money to save my sanity!

    One day nearer ;)

    No money news to report.

Currently have no water supply  A card came through the door tonight at around 6pm (luckily I was home early today) to say they were turning off supply to conduct emergency repairs. Not expected on until Midnight. I filled up a few bottles etc to tide me over so hopefully I will be ok. If need be I can have a shower at work tomorrow. It's more the thought of not being able to flush the toilet which bothers me. First world problems eh?!

    Good evening!

I had a very busy (but enjoyable) weekend away visiting family.

Back to the usual grind today. It was odd leaving work in the dark too - can't believe there are months of that ahead....

    Money news
    £50 OP
    £6 PC payments - also OP'd

The clock change makes such a difference doesn't it. I am not looking forward to a daily drive home in the dark. Well done on the OP's too!

Thanks for stopping by Cath :) Yes I know it's coming each year but somehow it still manages to 'knock me off my stride' for a few days afterwards

I am working at home today as waiting for the engineer to come and look at my cooker. Just hope it can be fixed as I don't want to have to wait for a replacement now. Fingers crossed!
I'm normally very happy to be at home but on the days I "have" to be, I always seem to think of things to do that require going out :o

At least I can be dressed in warm comfy clothes instead of office wear :T
