Tesco consider adding the points of discarded receipt as theft

Tesco's detected what they thought was a "crime" - Policeman
Tesco's determined that the OP was guilty of that "crime" - Jury
Tesco's levied the sanction that they thought was appropriate despite a pre-existing relevant contract with the OP that said something different - Judge0 -
For goodness' sake! This thread has run on for SO long that I'm beginning to suspect hpuse or gayguy involvement... They'd argue that day was night without end as well... :wall:0

Well, I suspect that may people have picked up discarded receipts and claimed points.
There is certainly no theft there, so that's not an angle; the store gave the points to person unknown, and the person discarded them.
There is no contract between Tesco and the original customer, as the customer did not agree to it and may not have even been aware of the points.
Tesco's T&Cs do not cover unclaimed points.0 -

No idea who hpuse is. Gayguy, I am aware of.
All you're seeing is a topic where for unknown reasons, a group of FMs here seem to have a weird understanding of the Law.
And 2 or 3 others with huge amounts of patience to correct them.
Their position is not even logical. They say a crime took place (though they don't agree on what crime) and yet when Tesco's dealt with it, they are not seen as taking the law into their own hands.0 -

Im very clear on my opinion and have been since post 6. Fraud by misrepresentation.
Likewise I could say you have a weird misunderstanding of the law and its myself and others which have had the patience to try and correct you.0 -
