Today I am happy and smiling and life feels fab !!!
And .... The reason is totally not related to big debt repayments or NSD or any other great MSE achievement.
So what you may ask leads me to this feeling of such happiness ?!?
Well it's the realisation that I am so rich in ways money can't buy
I have smiled, laughed and felt refreshed just having a few days away with my kids carefree and I have reassessed the way I look and think about things. I am doing my best to shrink the grizzly bear and I don't at all feel sad not spending money quite the opposite. My family have always been precious and have always given me strength and that is my drive when I can finally say goodbye to this I am going to then save for a lovely holiday somewhere warm with them where we can celebrate and enjoy planning lots of debt free adventures togetherLBM £17,920 - 01/08/14

Glad you are feeling upbeat after your break, and ready to get back to the debt busting. Trust me, the odd £15 overpayment or whatever you can manage really does add up, and make a difference over time. My debts are long since paid, but that is just how I did it, a little at a time, over £15k of it. After a while the minimum payments (on cards, anyway) get lowered, and you can 'overpay' just by keeping the payments the same - things really speed up then.
It took a few years. If I can do it, you can too
Take care xx0 -
Defintely, DEFINTELY, small overpayments add up!!! Just add up all the 'small' overpayments you have posted about on your diary in the last month- not so small :beer:Total Starting Debt August 2014- £38,061
Current Debt- £3600
Mortgage Offset Savings- £600

Hey Dolly,
You're doing great, over £250 paid off, see, this little (and sometimes not so little) bits all adds up.
Great to see you're doing well, keep it up

Big Thanks to divingmad, pinkpoppies and dawnw !! You are all a fantastic support and lift my spirits to carry on as I am :A
I have decided my 1 debt v 100 days challenge will be the Very account - I have 3 BNPL due to finish between now and December so if I don't pay them off I will be hammered with extra interest and it's bad enough all interest I'm already paying on other things so this is going to be the target. I plan to start 1st of month so figures will be posted then I am really positive that I can complete this challenge and I'm already thinking about next steps to clear the grizzly some more !!LBM £17,920 - 01/08/14

Yesterday was an excitable rushed post and I didnt really focus everything I wanted to say ?!?
First things first I managed to totally clear my NEXT debt in my first month to see a zero balance on something feels great :j
There is no way I am going to clear anything else very quickly so I should feel proud of my zero balance.
Secondly as well as my debt busting I managed to squirrel away £99.53 which was from daily till tidy on my bank account and unused petrol money again a massive achievement because its half my car tax which is due in December something I am never ever prepared for and always scrap about to pay !!
Today was a NSD good start to the month still got school shoes to buy so sadly I will be spending this week at some point.
I am starting to think about eBay again see what I can list towards weekend to attack this months balances.
I have managed a £8 overpayment today good news on all fronts !!

In need of direction - thanks for your support it really means a lot !!
Today is a yuk day I am putting every ounce into picking myself up and not allowing myself to be miserable but hell it feels hard !! I didn't sleep and so I got up tired and grumpy.
£40 overpayment today which obviously should make me smile  this is the result of snowball from clearing Next so I guess it shows how the snowball works. Was very tempted to wait till later in month but if it's not paid now I figured it may be wasted away then I'll regret it.
Targets for the rest of today and this evening are to smile ! Start some cleaning it's desperate and a nice bath with candles this evening set the body into relaxation mode no sleep is not good so I need to ensure tonight is a better night.
