  • Well done on making your first op so early on. Re your NSD, it's pretty much up to you to define them. For me it's where there is no actual transaction and I ignore dd.

You're certainly moving to a better place. Can't wait to see your progress.

  • Thanks for the posts it always makes me smile when I hear from others on the same journey.

Today I am not feeling as positive as I should be I seem to be in the mind set that I want it sorted now ?!? CRAZY GIRL ..... Obviously I know how long it took to get here and its going to take a lot longer to get back to where I was prior to the debt but I am totally focused on this and determined to see it all the way to the end.

I have decided to aim for 2 NSD a week and see how I find that, I totally agree though losingmydebt that its so difficult with kids off school and its holiday time seems spending money even in small amounts is a constant thing.

I have plans to list some bits on eBay over next few days I havent as yet managed that it is on my to do list which seems to increase rather than decrease :)

On a very positive note I am now overly excited about the upcoming Football season and am simply bursting to get back to it. For me it keeps me enertained stops my low mood, brings me in touch with friends I only see at the ground and importantly I dont spend money (although season tickets dont come cheap - note to self start saving for next year !!)

As for the debt well obviously I am paying all the basic minimum payments but yesterday I made an over payment of £57 :D
Now I have been reading many diaries and I have seen some massive overpayments so I know its not a huge amount but the satisfaction I have is immense.

Hey! £57 is loads!!! I'm quite chuffed at a couple of quid saved/paid off! Don't do yourself down.:)

I have no words of wisdom but just wanted to give you a virtual hug and a bit of moral support.
    Keep going!
By the way, I class a NSD as a day when I don't part with any physical money or use a card - DDs/regular payments don't count.

One little thing I saw on someone else's diary - finding a silver lining or small positive for each day. I think I'll start doing that as it forces you to find some good in a sometimes bad day. May be of help for you too?

    xx

Thanks for this Welshwoofer it is a great idea inspiration is key to beating this :T

Tonight is the start of the weekend and today my last day at work before a weeks annual leave I cant wait it will be bliss !!! The boys and I for a week nothing better.

Plus for today is another small overpayment of £16 little by little I will see a difference. I know every week and month will be different I am fully expecting pot holes along the way and with any luck the occasional rainbow.

I am going to be out this evening so will be spending but not much just meeting a friend for food, I will be driving which helps keep costs down...

Hoping to check in again tonight got some diaries to catch up on :)

Hope you have a great night out - a change is as good as a rest!
  • My night out was good not a late nor spendy one but still good all the same.

Yesterday I went to watch football and it was fantastic to be back really renewed my energy - we won too which was a bonus :j

Today I AM starting the eBay stuff no more putting it off

I keep reading about the first year being "the year of pain " - after 2 weeks I can see thats exactly what I have ahead, probably not helped by fact I had already messed up so much this month

I am going to join a challenge after payday I think which is still just over a fortnight away, 1 debt v 100 days is looking most likely as it stands. I think I need structure and some direction to sustain this overhaul
