Great Idea Welsh lets tackle it together !!!
Well yesterday I actually managed to get some items on eBay only 5 but its a start.
Today has been a NSDvery happy about that so I need one more this week to hit my 2 a week target. I also paid another £6 over payment off the debt today every little counts.
The grizzly bear will be beaten and I will be left debt free and happy.
The best thing about this journey so far is that I havent even been tempted by my previous downfalls and trouble inducing ways and I am so much happier I am enjoying things more.
Yes I wish I wasnt where I am but I think the lesson its teaching me is enabling me to live a better more fulfilling lifeLBM £17,920 - 01/08/14

Hi All
Yesterday was a nice family day so I didn't manage to get on here but on the positive I made another overpayment of £10 which is obviously good news. I keep making small indents but I think I need to look at ways to bring in extra cash to tackle this or it is going to simply take forever. I know once I start the snowball process things will look better but right now I have the horrible sinking feeling again I need to shift my mindset:(:(
I am still managing to avoid my demons which in times of low mood I often turn too so for that I am proud of myself I cant say its easy because it isnt. I have lots to be happy for today must just be a bad day - will try and lift myself miserable diaries are no fun to read - Sorry !!LBM £17,920 - 01/08/14

Morning all ! Things are still ticking along and I am still sticking with the MSE ways
Yesterday I made another small overpayment to my Next account of £6 so it feels good to make frequent payments. It was also another NSD so I've hit my target again !!
I allocate a set amount for fuel every week and since I started this journey what I don't spend I am transferring to a savings pot along with a daily till tidy on my account over the month so far this is building up a nice little pot which I think I'm going to keep for things like car tax as currently I don't budget for this. If I build up enough I may also pay my car insurance with it which I currently pay for monthly so obviously pay more than I should with interest etc added in
Anyway I'm off out for some fun with my boys of the MSE kind :rotfl:LBM £17,920 - 01/08/14

Hey Welsh Lovely to see you back hope you had a great week away
I haven't had chance to post for a few days but set my mind to squeeze it in today !! it keeps me on track and I really miss not getting my thoughts and progress tracked.
So on the eBay front I made a couple of sales so they got posted yesterday, still more to list but I am away for a few days over bank hols so will wait to list till I return I dont like to leave people waiting once they pay.
Saturday and Sunday were both NSD and on a weekend I am very pleased with that.
The grizzly bear has been troubling me at night I just cant seem to sleep it swirls round my head ... its an awful thing I start thinking what a mess then I think how long its going to take to sort then I get annoyed with myself for being silly with money in first place then I get annoyed that I've wasted time thinking about it again and cant sleep its exhausting
Now for positives I made an overpayment on Sunday of £70 and another on Monday for £80 so I certainly feel thats good.
I do wonder though what happens when I run out of things to sell etc sadly I am not in a position to get a second job, I dont have a spare room to rent. Any ideas would be welcomed I need to keep up the momentoLBM £17,920 - 01/08/14

Just a quick one today I have finally added a signature so that will track my progress and show the Grizzly Bear shrinking ...
I have had another great day with the boys and not spent much at all I am geting good at the keeping control of the purse strings bit
I am going to update my signature and start my 1v100 challenge on 1st September that will be a full month since my journey began. The whole setting a debt free date is not happening still I want it to happen asap but until I am a bit in and I can see progress I cant even see where this will come to an end.
The Next debt has been my first focus so far now I need to decide between Very and Mint ?!?:eek:LBM £17,920 - 01/08/14

I am currently running a very warm bath I can not believe how cold it seems to have turned - Autumn is certainly creeping up on us now.
Today I made another over payment of £15 which is good as its more off the debt. I must be honest I do feel proud of the fact I am tackling this but I do keep having that niggling thought of what is an extra £15 pound here and there really going to do ?!? Choosing to follow this path and the reality of the situation hasnt been an easy decision by far and I can see there are going to be so many ups and downs which is to be expected but I guess I really just want to ask the long haulers out there ... Does it get easier ? what tips do you have for the days when the end is so far out of sight you feel miserable ?
I have friends who now say they have come to terms with being in debt that its just how there life is going to be and for me thats not good enough that is why I am here to dig myself out of this hole and progress forward to a happier life where the money in my bank is actually mine and where treating my boys to Chinese doesnt leave me crippled with guiltLBM £17,920 - 01/08/14

Just read through your thread dolly, am sorry for your loss, loosing a parent leaves such a huge void in our lives. You are off too a flying start, esp with over payments and no spend days. Being on here reading others debt free diaries really shows how much these seemly little deeds produce massive results in the long run. Keep doing what your doing, and when times get tough come on here and share or read others journeys, they will inspire you to keep going just as your journey will inspire others in the not too distant future - all the best for your debt free journey x xDebt Aug 14 - O/D £1250, Halifax CC £1915 (0%) Santander CC £1450 Barclay CC £345 Next 335

Thanks so much for your kind words Redemptionsong !!
I have felt like I'm wobbling on the edge of the wagon last couple of days
I am having a few days off work with it being bank holiday which I must admit I am looking forward to !! Can't wait to not setting alarms and full on relaxation.
On the debt front I managed another £45 over payment today so things are still slowly moving along little by little
Right I'm off to enjoy the long weekend hope everyone here gets chance to also have a lovely time !!LBM £17,920 - 01/08/14

It has been a really lovely few days and I am pleased to say it's been a MSE time as well :j
No overpayments have been made but I have managed a NSD which was not expected at all.
I am edging closer to updating my signature but it won't have changed massively I think it will be after Christmas when I start to really notice the improvements.
I need to weigh myself as well to see if I have managed to lose some weight I feel like I have but part of this journey is not putting myself under silly pressure so I'm only weighing once a month.
The plan for next month is to start budgeting for Christmas and looking and making some cards.LBM £17,920 - 01/08/14
