Unless you get the MSE to recognise you as the official rep of HyperOptic then OP would be NUTS to give you details of her private contract.
To be honest she has got what she wanted so little more you can do, It was an old thread and she just updated it. Good to know one can get out of such contracts. One thing I respect about Plusnet is they let you go for £65 while Virgin and TalkTalk are renowned for being really stubborn on this. Foolish really as they just lose future customers and their friends forever.
To see an example of what I mean by MSE auth of your account see this post from official TT rep

Thanks Hyperoptic.
I really wanted your service but I was baffled that the speeds were so low and I continued to pay my old supplier simultaneously for over 7weeks so I could keep my number.
Anyways, please do as suggested by David if you are Hyperoptic.0 -
Hello,
We don't have fibre on our street at the moment. Our street is leasehold and we were given the opportunity to have Hyperoptic broadband installed for free. The managment on our street declined for fear of a monopoly (plus we've had little demand for it bar one resident as his business down the road will get it?
The managment companies worry is that if we have Hypertopic, BT Openreach when they eventually do our street will not see us as a priority as we all ready have fibre. Meaning people can't get sky/talktalk/EE etc and are 'tied in' to Hyperoptic. This resident claims the two are totally unrelated and Openreach don't care either way. (They are not currently even looking to rollout/ install in our area)
Because of the worry about this, it has been decided not to install Hyperoptic and wait until Openreach install so residents get 'full' access to whichever service they require. The resident is miffed about this as he thinks then opportunity should be taken now but managment are suspicious of his intentions as he'll get fibre to his business. He maintains he wants it anyway for his house and it'll benefit others.
Wondered what other people's thoughts were and if they've experienced something like this before and whether mangment co are being unreasonable or whether if there is little demand its best to wait for Openreach to roll it out.
thanks0 -
If there’s little demand then why do you think Openreach would decided it’s finanically sensible and viable to install in your area?
Openreach aren’t obliged to provide fibre in your area. Even if they did, Sky and TalkTalk don’t offer thier services on Openreach’s FTTP network.
If it were me, I’d snap Hyperoptic’s hand off.0 -

Likewise and its worth comparing what hyperoptic offers ve BT OR .0 -

You cannot 'transfer' as such, if you want to use the Hyperoptic service that's been preinstalled at the new address, then contact Hyperoptic about becoming a customer...chances are you (not them) will have to notify your current provider (BT) yourself about ceasing service at your 'old' property , advising them you are moving to a new property but don't want to use BT at this new address, this should start the process of ceasing your BT services and generate a final bill , obviously you tell them the date you want them to stop providing your service at the old address.
If you want some sort of telephony service over Hyperoptic , you will want to discuss that at sign up , chances are you will get a 'new' phone number,( if you decide want a phone service) as well as broadband access.0 -
