Prefebably i would prefer to keep all these 3 accounts as they are, i just need to open a new account somewhere else to then switch it to the Halifax to earn £100.
Can you reccommend a quick easy account which i can open online for this purpose please?
tia
Are you with Lloyds Bank or TSB?
They are both separate banks now.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

Checked Ebay, too far for collection. Going to suggest stools from Argos but don't think they will be ideal!
Would prefer for them to be delivered!
Maybe you could ask local churches or community centres if they have some you could borrow0 -
Good morning all.
Lot of stuff shared on the night shift last night. I've been in that place personally a couple of times in my life to varying degrees. I think you'll always find someone who has some experience of depression, first hand or otherwise, so it shocks me that mental health issues aren't taken as seriously as they should be in the media and government.
FC you're always really cheery and lovely on here, even though you've got a bunch of stuff going on behind the scenes. It must be tough having to be the one to hold it all together. I hope there are people in your life looking out for you so you can enjoy some down time.
I've switched my two accounts today so looking forward to my £100 as and when that comes in. Popped 96p in to my other account :rotfl:Debt free 6th December 2014

Good morning
Thanks for all the hugs:A Ive 'snapped back into place' this morning and am fine. Been to the beach with DS2 and houseguest and their conversations are truly mind boggling  but very amusing :rotfl::rotfl: They wind each other up something terrible but get on so well at the same time
The jolly plasterer is here again today. Ive realised I don't need to hang around and speak to him.......he seems to be quite happy talking to himself when no-one else is  :rotfl: Bless him.
Might venture to Morries after lunch time0 -
Same here, impossible to buy for. I think I prefer small gestures so I know someone is thinking about me eg at OHs workplace there is a book exchange cupboard and OH found a huge book of photos of Liverpool and the history of the docks etc - perfect
Eldest child tends to buy things that look good on the present buying list eg for OHs birthday she bought some very yummy amaretto truffles from hotel chocolate in a very posh bag. They were fabulous. But in reality eldest child coming home for surprise visit was enough of a gift in itself and if she had brought the huge toblerones the size of a house OH would have been just as thrilled.
I always tell my mine not to waste their money xx0 -
A weird one - had an email from M&S as a reminder about items I had put in my basket. I had not put the items in my basket and they were not there when I logged in. Is this M&S messing me about or is it someone hoping I had left my credit card on the account?
Never had a card on the account, don't think I will now either :eek:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Questions are being asked here of complete strangers, answers are provided, albeit probably correctly and in good faith, but it seems some people are relying on this info when ALL the info readily available on the respective institutions websites.
If something goes as unexpected would the defence be...well someone on the internet told me, I didn't look at the website or begin to think the effect it may have with the CRAs.
I would URGE people to seriously think before opting for these incentives. SOME people have the ability to do this with little effect to their record because they have impeccable records, but the majority don't and these applications will impact their records and possibly quite severley if considering mortgage applications in the next 12 months.
Your comment was partly aimed at me; so I think it would be fair to reply.
It has been stated that applying for current accounts can have implications on your credit score; hence, people are advised to spread applications across a period of time. Advice has also been given re: checking your credit score for free via Noddle at regular intervals.
People can make informed decisions based on this.
Credit searches are also made when applying for new mobile phone contracts, broadband contracts, landline contracts, switching gas and electricity supplier, applying for credit cards, financing cars, mortgages and even when doing a Go Compare/Confused.com insurance search for £2 cashback! I don't see any of us giving warnings to these.
As mentioned, as long as applications are spread across over a period of a few months AND you keep an eye on your credit file once per month with no negative impact then I don't see why people shouldn't apply.:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member
