Some very interesting thoughts there BM. I think "He" is definitely challenging me! I know a lot of people who just sail through life without anything horrible happening and it makes me wonder why some people are chosen to have everything thrown at them.

I agree with you re the spending on outings and meeting friends; life is just too short, there must be some pleasure.

    Another personal NSD :T:T

Found it hard today, really wanted to go out and either do something fun or have some retail therapy.

Instead I cleaned kitchen, made some coffee and walnut buns, put a beef shin casserole in the slow cooker. Read some more of my book, finished a crochet blanket. Started a scraps blanket, and made more odd granny squares.

As well as watching a Lucy Worsley programme, both and enjoyable and fascinating, then Casualty... love Charlie & Duffy

Now OH making tea and its a debate between, Death in Paradise, ER or the new Bridget Jones film.

:j Lovely BF sent it through the post today as a belated Christmas present...

    Sunday

Fortunately I was not on duty this Sunday - felt shattered. Friends to lunch - fortunately OH cooked and they muck in.

We did a lovely meal with ham hocks a Nigella receipe and than salted caramel sponge pudding using the end of a jar of sauce bought on holiday so all in all very :money:

Then technical rehearsal for the play this week, OH made me a packed lunch tea. :money:

For me a NSD again :j

    Monday

This was a spendy day personally

Monthly renewal of a diary app £4.17. I am really finding writing daily is helping my mental wellbeing. I see this app like a slimming subscription. I pay a sub to support the site and this gives me an incentive to write

Valentines card £2.10 - having been o our own for so long we like to do this.

Charity one hundred club £5- cancelled most regular giving, however this is my small token to the tall ship charity where I met my OH and i have been known to win!

Once a term lunch with friend, found a 40% of mains voucher - so was £15

Contribution towards script from OH birthday £5

Was another slow day yesterday, felt absolutely shattered. Then dress rehearsal last night 7pm till gone 11pm. I love it and struggle at the same time.

    Spending

A black file £1 for the play which is not required :(

Today on reflection is about counting my blessings. Our cleaner returned, it is she who last her brother, SIL and 6 year old nephew in a house fire. She is a very strong lady, and although tears flowed, I listened to the heartache and the worry about how they are trying to comfort her Father and family back in Portugal, who want the bodies repatriated. ( All three coffins cannot be sent on one plane). The love of family shone out of her. The wish in her own grief to comfort and support others.

Life changing in a split second, makes you both sad, but also to stop and reflect and value the life you have.

I went out in the afternoon, and the kindness of strangers especially a man named Phil. Turned what could have been a horrific disaster into one of triumph. I was looking after Mr Mischief Mr Borrow My Doggy, when on a busy road he slipped his collar! Oh my, wold he come back to me, no, what fun he thought as he romped away from me. As his owners Mum said to me later... he has no road sense . Well thankfully I found some treats in my bag and he did return once offered, I held onto him firmly while lovely Phil refitted the collar for me. Please remember the benny hill chase was me on a mobility scooter! I can assure you Milo can run faster! My heart was beating so much that I admit I splashed out the housekeeping on a tea and sandwich at the outdoor cafe by the river, Guess who had half the sandwich. :rotfl::rotfl:

Last night was more AmDram, I must admit I am finding it hard. Very tired and the play is not one I find easy to listen to Beyond Reasonable Doubt - Jeffrey Archer about assisted dying. However I love being out socialising with people.

I am though looking forward to my first early night on Sunday!
