PS on a brighter note, I have kept to my own personal fasting and was able to use this weeks allocated "pocket money" to pay off my own personal debts.
It will not be possible next week as i have both OH Christmas stocking to do (£20 maximum) and his birthday to sort.

It's a miracle if you can scrimp in December, just go with it and rein it in afterwards.
We usually have a real tree, but this year, as I am immobilised, we have had to dig out old artificial tree. Not what I really want but needs must this year. It will have to do.
Take care xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Sorry to hear you are feeling so down, and like Beanie I wish I was nearer. Is there any chance you could offer to have your friends boys over without friend staying, so she could have some time off/get jobs done, and you still get the magical time? XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Waving madly,
I'm still up right just!
Abit of a recap for my benefit:
Tuesday - Cleaner arrived, Mrs Sunshine who made our home sparkling and insisted on coming in Friday morning for a couple of hours to freshen up before MIL arrived. Then Mr BMD and went out, blew the cobwebs away. we then had a really good committee meeting for Christmas Day.
However it left me with insomnia, as our guest numbers are down, and I need to find the energy from somewhere to do something about it. Cuddles on the sofa with big cat at 4.30am not ideal....
Wednesday was a me day, when I went and sewed last class before my teacher goes on maternity leave. I struggled with tiredness, it was lovely to be with people I now call friends and get absorbed in something feel good.
Thursday - more admin work then Mr BM Doggy again in the afternoon, before out to the cinema on a "date" to see National Theatre Live production of No Man's Land with Ian Mckellen and Patrick Stewart, funny play by Pinter, with no real plot line, about old men and dementia, very poetic and I loved just watching the two main men. It was so much cheaper than seeing it in London and with OH cinema card we get one free ticket. Its an independent cinema so a glass of vino a comfy sofa and I was nearly asleep! It was good though to escape.
Friday - Chronic fatigue levels were really high, and I rearranged diary, so the bits I had to do outside were with OH and him driving. Then disaster - getting ready to go out I notice OH beds cabinet door wide open, go to close it, turned round, caught good foot in duvet cover and bang - flat on my face on a laminate floor.
So since then I've kept going... and I am still pushing myself. i carried on to do all the jobs outside including the cash and carry.
Then yesterday all the in laws came to dinner, full Christmas Roast for 8, OH has cooked and washed up, however i seemed to be on my feet most of the day and evening, plus having to Mrs Joy as my PIL are very hard work and B & SIL, lovely, quiet and struggle with PIL too, PIL stay B & S IL are local. Yes we had a good evening but boy did OH & I both worked hard at it.
My PIL stayed for under 24hrs, OH and I were relieved, as sadly they were not that cheerful and had very little to say, despite not seeing them since July. They are just so different to how my family deal with life and I get so frustrated and want to shake them and say, "Do something about it" " Talk through your frustrations and sadness with those involved and sort it" Sadly they are ostrich in the sand. All down to how much they see us and their grandchildren rarely. However as an example my MIL gives my OH is 50th birthday present and says "as we will not see you on your birthday", my OH reaction / thought was "oh you have decided that then" No previous discussion. Where as my Father will say I would like to take you out for dinner to celebrate your birthday - and he probably will on this occasion. However I am aware my Inlaws are waiting for the suggestion to go out coming from their sons, which sadly will not come. When I first married I had a lot of sympathy for my inlaws, and I encourage my OH to see his parents, they always stay with us (B & S in law refuse to invite) but nowadays decline our invites unless we organise to see grandchildren. We suggested they come down on Friday night, they declined as they had "too much to do". As my OH says they grumble they don't see us enough but then only want to stop for a short time. They are three hours away.
Yesterday was the 27th anniversary of losing my beloved Grandmother, next year will be 18 years since loosing my Mum, I was taught to be open, honest, sort out bad feelings and lay them aside to make the most of life.
On that note, even though I desperately want to crawl back to bed, I have to tart myself up, put on a cheery face and go and see my youngest Goddaughter.
A surprise get together at the last minute, and having said I was so disappointed not to see Godson and family I need to push myself to go...
