NSD. Can't remember if I had dinner yet. Been writing - swear I have the same bits down in 3 different places. Not done my planned sewing.

Yesterday I checked out the notice for the local Arthritis support group but no contact number and no meetings in August or September. Going to fridge forage, back later.

    How are we?

I am super excited. I am massively debt focussed this week. So I used a gift voucher I had to buy some food, then paid myself the money spent on the gift card from the food budget, and then paid that amount off my loan :) I also found that I hadn't removed my old mobile phone contract amount from the budget this month (although I had added the new contract amount) so I also paid this amount off my loan. I am now 34.1% debt free :j

I have also done a forecast for next month's money as I will get my new payscale and will have the payments start from the promotion I got back in April. October and November will be spendy, as we are going on holiday (already paid for) so need money for kennels, cattery and spending whilst we are there. Plus there is car tax and MOT. Did hear today that apparently car tax is moving to a monthly direct debit option, wonder whether that'll come in before I need to pay it.

Anyway, today was a spendy day as I bought the Aldee voucher, to use at the weekend (and did a stock take to ensure I needed to spend £40). I also used the spend day to buy light bulbs as we were down to only one in the lounge and one in the kitchen. Found a weird but great offer as Asd4, £4 for a pack of bulbs or 3 packs for £5 :)

Went to the gym this morning, did a class, a swim and 10 minutes on a bike, and then did a dog walk this afternoon. Not much else to report.

OH has a friend staying tonight who is moving out of his girlfriend's house. He doesn't know how long he is staying, I'm kind of hoping it is a while and that he'll pay rent, but it may just be a night, so better not get carried away! He is lovely and OH's best friend, so OH will love having him here.

Hope you've all had a good day.

Aw mixed feelings are we come to the end of the month - end of an era, but start of a new one!

Spendy day as needed top up shop and petrol. Ran after work though so that's something.

Glad you are feeling better for having been to the doctors Calling and you can at least go out and about!

hmmm, not much else to say really - doing a bit of the old staring at figures, end of the month debt reviewing - wishing things down a bit as usual!

Added 10 to my de-clutter total as have packaged up 2 parcels using extra (odd shaped ) boxes for packaging and 1/2 a box of assorted packaging including some I can only describe as polystyrene fabric (all reclaimed, not paid for).

Exercise was carrying more laminate bits from the shed to upstairs. The stuff mr and mrs builder gave me will do the tiny room and the room I am in, the extra should do the landing and any leftovers/ odd bits (1 length in the dining room 'oak' colour) can be used behind wardrobe doors and under the attic stairs where they won't be seen.

Today I am grateful for free stuff, for knowing how to make best use of it and for DS3 (who helped a bit and didn't shout when I asked him to explain something which apparently he told me yesterday - didn't write it down with little arrows and boxes though did he, although he did make remarks to his gf questioning my intelligence).

Hi guys. Stop winding up my thread early you lot!! :P I am not in for September, way too much stuffs to buy, gotta get Xmas well and truly wrapped up with mums cancer etc. I have no idea what is coming in the next few months and have to be organised to get presents up there at the drop of a hat. Probably early October! So I am eking out the last 3 days of this month trying not to spend!!

Having said that, I bought 3 Xmas presents today, totalling £24. 2 were from my mum to Jellytot, and she paid me for them the other day, so I actually only spent £5 of my own moneys on my friends little girls present! Might as well bite the bullet and do the Argos spends now too. That will wrap up a good portion of Jellytots Christmas. From mum too.

Don't remember if I said, but happy that the electrician is less expensive than it sounded at first Magiccat. Sure as soon as you mentioned second opinions they realised they couldn't take you for a ride and clarified what was NECESSARY which is fab!

Fmess fab budgeting and creative use of the gift cards. Well done you. Don't forget to treat yourself sometimes though!

Had the WORST day at work today. Got in to the news that the internet went down at half 5 the night before, just after I left. So I had none of the responses to emails from clients that I was expecting, couldn't request quotes, review clients investments, or even do something as simple as find a providers telephone number or a clients date of birth without pulling files or googling on my phone. This lasted... all day. I had enough work to last me less than an hour. After that I twiddled my thumbs which I cannot bear. When boss eventually arrived at 1, I begged for anything to do. This resulted in me pulling an entire archiving box, containing reams of paperwork I did last year, searching line by line for just 8 client names. I nearly cried with boredom. Got it done, but only 4 names found, so have requested another 2 solid boxes the same from storage :( I emailed myself on my personal email from work before I left, as once the internet is fixed, I will get the email. So far, zip. Apparently a massive ISP and comms company went down, taking a vast quantity of nationwide networks with it. Bad... Ooooh I just got the email!! :D no more boredom!

Anyways I am off to fiddle with figures and eat homemade apple pie. It is payday and my total savings hit about £975 for the month which is incredible :D next month promises to be fun too although figures all change again...

    Morning guys.

Calling - hope you are feeling better now.

It is raining here so I think we will get ready for school today and have a day out somewhere on Monday instead.

DD and me decluttered her wardrobe and have 3 bags of clothes to give to a friend's daughter and a bag for the charity shop for rags. She still has a ton of clothes so I don't need to spend anymore money on her for winter which is good news.

We did a big grocery shop last night and have loads of lovely things in now so no need to be spending on food for a good few days.
