Kat!! to the bra!!!! That is hilarious, and AWESOME. That will teach you to put the loo seat down when getting changed at work hmm?! ;) The question has to be asked... was it flushed or unflushed water?! ;)

To all you people losing posts... if you are not on a tablet/phone, then please do as I do, with ALL of my posts... When you get to the end, press Ctrl + A then Ctrl + C - if you lose the post, you can just press Ctrl + V and paste everything back in!

Everyone wishing blessings on my bro - thank you. Today it was confirmed it was a large heart attack. It was not in his Veins or Arteries though; he is in good health and there is no lasting damage as such. This means it was caused by a virus or infection in his heart as thought. He is still in hospital, an MRI scan tomorrow and some other things then hopefully home.

Need to get me on Jacks blog. This week her spicy lentil burgers are on the menu with some piadina. Especially after friend of Him derailed dinner plans. I did the math and each meal only cost £1.26 tonight. That isn't bad for one containing a jar of ready made sauce and three huge pieces of chicken. I didn't have to cook it either but I have gotten a lot of sarcastic comments.

Still feeling pretty down in the dumps. Need to perk myself back up. Or kick Him to the kerb. Answers on a postcard. Lol.

Totals in my sig. 8/12 SFD and living on porridge :rotfl:

Sorry you are feeling down Lilt - you gotta figure out which will make you happier - kick or not kick.. I suspect you already know!

And how annoying I lost my post, and thank you for the advice, but it really was my own fault - I lost my post because I ctrl A'd, but forgot to ctrl C as I got distracted! I usually open word and type in into a doc then copy and past that, but I was being lazy tonight. Silly silly me.

NSK how funny about your bra but I'm confused. We're you getting changed at work after your cycle? If so did you not have the bra you cycled in to wear as a back up?

Tiptoes sorry you lost your post but love the abbreviated version. What type of cake?

lilt OHs are rather trying at times aren't they! Mine is doing everything wrong at the moment and getting on my nerves. But there are other times he remembers to behave and tries hard.

pheonix hope you are ok? Not too much glue needed I hope?

MagicCat hope the MOT went well?

Spend day here as planned but hoping for 3 SFDs in a row now as I'm away on a prepaid weekend and everything has been paid upfront :)

No exercise as still fending off the lurgy and need to be better for tomorrow.

Not much else happening here. Does giving someone your parking ticket count as a good deed? Guess it may have helped them have a SFD!

  • Hello everybody...:T:T:T

The bra conundrum = yes indeed it was flushed water thank goodness, it was balanced on top of my clothing as I lent to close the lid and in it went, I wear a sports bra on the bike which is incredibly tight and rather uncomfortable and has to be removed and yes this was after my cycle so it really had to come off...

Today however... I get to work, taking my hoody off. Whats buried in the hood????.. a pair of pink lacy knickers. Clearly there from when I removed said hoody and other items from the drier this morning - BUT I actually put the hood up while walking from the tube station - can you imagine if they had fallen out within my workplace courtyard.... oh the SHAME.

Anyway - hopefully this is the end of my knicker/bra dilemmas. :D:D:D

Lilt what do you mean you got a lot of sarcastic comments? Anyone that is fed in your wee house needs to shut their face and be grateful if you ask me. Is he the one making you depressed..? Perhaps you have completed the trial you thought you needed and whats done is done - he needs to go. There doesn't have to be anything wrong per se for it not to be right... And what do you mean you were frogg-marched to the till? Why..?

AppleMuncher - my Dad always said I remind him of 7of9. Not sure if that's a good thing but good choice. I am a Trekkie sorry - brought up on it.

Pheonix are you ok? Did you got over the handlebars so to speak - what a horrific accident.

    - you gotta get a name that suits. My motorbike is called Hercules for goodness sake. Glad the neighbour issue is sorted out - one person can make up stories "they said" but I never take that for granted any more and always talk to the so called other parties...

Anyway I need a little caffeine fix so i shall be back later..

Oh NSK your knicker antics made me chuckle, can you imagine if they were perched on your head for all to see as you trotted along:rotfl:.

Lilt - I wondered why you couldn't put your items back if they were too expensive, I have no shame in telling the staff 'I'm not paying that'.

I hope to not spend money today but won't count my chickens just yet. I am hoping to take the kids to the park but we will take our own drinks and snacks, having said that it may rain (I am sick of the weather now, every time I go out it rains and then the sun comes out when I get back in), tonight is pizza night, all homemade of course so no spending there.

    Helloo people...

:D at NSK's various lingerie related dramas. I can empathise, I have been known to wear clothes quite obviously inside out to quite top level meetings, and once left my knickers in a tent we were using as part of a outdoor adventure type selection exercise (we'd had to get dressed super quick in the dark). They got found during the clear up and had to claim them back minutes before my final interview!

Hope all those who are having tough times, lurgies, bike falls, illnesses and general difficult moments have a better day today and are healing well. Well done to luckystarr new job!

I just popped back to say....I did it! Woo Hoo. Sorry to brag but am not sure who else I can share this moment of extreme joy and relief with. I just did a round up of all my bank accounts (it was pay day today) and am nearly crying with relief at all the little zeros I saw everywhere! I went round twice just to make sure! :j

To celebrate I went right ahead with the first payment of 250 to the family loan, bringing it under 5k for the first time in years.

This pay to debt first (Oh NSK and turtles, I've learnt so much!) does mean I will hopefully avoid splurging in celebration and sabotaging my success, like we talked about a few days ago. I could really see me doing that so had worked out what I needed for the next 2.5 weeks until my anticipated next guest payment (I am really loving having the house to myself BTW, my treat to myself to get over the op) and have only got that left in my current account. Nothing on the CC's btw, did I mention that??

Just got to keep them that way now. Lock away or something. Thinking of getting rid completely, not quite sure how credit checks work etc but it can;t look good that I have access to so much (in total about £14,000) credit even if not being used? Thinking of it as need to re-do mortgage v soon. But anyway. I will work that one out later!!

I am totally staggered to have got here and am probably talking drivel. My first get well soon guests are due here soon and although the getting well is obviously top priority at the moment, I feel so light and happy that they will probably be bemused to see me shining brighter than before! Soooo..... thank you!! I would not be in this place without your encouragement on dark days, or even just the mundane days. I will be back later to plot how to get rid of this informal debt next. Feel a bit addicted to this debt slaying business
    !

Stay strong turtley-kats! Hold your nerve and have a great day.

    Hello everyone,

Phoenix - So sorry to hear about your accident, hope you're OK today and very glad it wasn't worse, it must have been awful.:(

Kat - lol at the knickers! I was once sitting in clinic with a patient and realised there was a strange bump on my leg in a pair of leggings that I had put on straight out of the dryer rushing to get ready that morning...when I investigated later it was indeed a pair of pants. Hopefully the patient noticed nothing...

Crazy_Lady - that is fabulous, much be such a good feeling! :T Hope recovery from op is going OK. Re: credit cards - I've seen lots of people on MSE speak well of freezing them in a block of ice - sounds weird, but it means they are still there for a genuine emergency, but not easily accessible for an impulse purchase.

Lilt - glad to hear your brother is doing OK and they know a bit more about his condition. Sorry to hear things re stressful with Him, though, hugs.

Thanks Fmess and LoveaDove - car is through MOT! Such a relief! :jIt was actually all fine, mechanic had to do a couple of small bits on the service, but it was £170 in total, which was a lot less than I feared. So total cost of service, MOT, insurance and breakdown renewal is £510, £40 less than I had saved up since following along with Kat's challenges, I am so happy with this! And whereas in the past, if I had saved anything (unlikely!) any left over would have been spent on some rubbish, it's going straight to the CC (but next month, as this month is going to have a few unexpected costs travelling to Grandad's funeral).
