But got to give it a go, as I have guests and a washing machine arriving on Friday (not together!) so the living room painting needs to be finished, and I need to lay the lino in the utility room. I think it's possible, but it's going to be a long evening.
Got all the planned DIY done, but it was 5 hours of work, only half an hour break for dinner. Then yesterday I had back to back meetings resulting in a 11 hour day with about £50 of expense now due, and missing the showing of Guardians Of the Galaxy I was going to do with a friend. Instead she gave me dinner so besides the expenses (which will be reimbursed, so I don't count them as spends) it was a SFD.
Got to pop by the SM later to buy a few food bits, so no SFD today, but otherwise not much to report.Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150 -
Hi gang
Apple Muncher Best wishes to you for tomorrow..
Mothernerd Hope you too will be lurgy free soon!
Stewby Good news about your Bongo driveway approval :T
I was planning on bagging a SFD today until a motorist pulled out in front of me while I was flying down hill on my electric bike after my night shift _pale_  An unplanned but neccessary £4 spent on parking at A&E and thats not to mention what it will cost to fix the bike and replace damaged items of clothing
Today I am thankful for:
*Being one of Londons luckier cycling casualties..
*The kindness of strangers (the bus driver who stopped having witnessed it all, the elderly man who offered to take care of my bike, offer me tea and phone a friend, the lovely nurse who glued me together again :A)
*My housemate who donated a large healing nutty chocolate bar when I got home :T
*My lovely safe, warm healing bed to curl up in.. :j
Hope youve all had a better day!

Oh Phoenix! So glad you are here to tell us about it. Hope you mend soon, and that the nurse used superglue and not pritt stick. Sending you the gentlest of hugs x
BTW £4 on A&E parking is DEFINITELY a medical NEED and as such, does not count as a spendy day. Claim it!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Hope you are soon feeling better Phoenix.
NSD and another 10 bits for the cs. Sat at the dining room table and sliced nearly all the onions (left 6 tinies for salads + have some hg and more in the garden). Made a huge pan of onion soup. Put the cauli from the fridge in a steamer on top, finished it off in the microwave and made 2 lots of cauli cheese with pasta (eaten one), cooked and mashed all the potatoes (again more in the garden and some small ones in the freezer for salad) and made 2 fish pies with a tin of tuna (well to be truthful 2 broccoli and sweetcorn pies with tuna sprinkled on them).
Eaten cauli cheese (generous dose of cayenne to kill the lurgy) and a mug of soup. Feeling good (took a hayfever tablet earlier - it helps). Nearly two hours (some sitting down) feeling almost normal most of the time, just occasionally having to hold on to a chair back or the freezer door and wait for my leg to start working again.
Want to go back and put away peeled carrots, spare pasta (salad) and cheese (tiny bit) but just resting for now.
Plans for tomorrow are fluid - need to go to town but whether I get a few things and come back home or go on to mum's (60p extra but free food all day) depends on how well I can move. Canal trip is postponed until 12th September. Had another letter from United Utilities with a new date for installing the water meter - 3rd time lucky?
Today I am grateful for simple comforting food, music and silly but amusing computer games (according to DS3, my reaction when the rabbit steals my carrots makes me a real gamer). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Phoenix - crikey, glad you are still in one piece.
I only spent money on the grocery shop today so lost a SFD for that but it is all budgeted for.

Evening everyone! I am VERY proud to report another NSD today, because I went to another office for work today - about a four hour round trip - and did not spend money on tea/ coffee/ snacks etc. Also got a lot of exercise as the "oh, it's a 10 min walk from the station" turned out to be 40 mins. And I get paid tomorrow and I still have £22.50 in the bank. I honestly can't remember the last time I wasn't in my other overdraft by payday, so this is a great victory - thanks to YNAB and NSK!

Hey all!
Hehe NSK- are you feeling a sense of liberation now? How on earth did you drop your bra down the toilet?? Was that at work?!
MagicCat - How did the MOT/Service go? My paws are still crossed for you!!
Stewby- Pleeeeease say you're going to install some Bongo drums into your camper? Your neighbours sound like a couple of mine! Glad the air is cleared with your other neighbours, no one likes a poop stirrer- there's always one!
I am doing terribly with my SFDs! Still only at 4! As I had to send my Tax refund application today along with my old car's tax disc and V5 transfer slip- there was no way that I was not going to send that by Signed For Post! Hopefully shall be in receipt of a cheque for 2 months of car tax in the next few weeks. Also spent a lil bit from my Birthday pressies fund on a M00npig card for my bestie! And I may have purchased an old book from eb@y...I swear I am addicted. My Amaz0n account has 24 books on my wishlist at the moment, and that was after a cull! dang! A lot of them are specialist books in my field of interest, so are difficult to obtain at the library. Still I shouldn't make excuses!
Cooked the family a scrummy Jack Monroe Jambalaya this eve, shall be spending the remainder of my eve watching some good ol' bre@king b@d with the OH. Oh and NSK- I'm also a big fan of the J.M sunshine buns! They're great for filling an empty tummy! I usually freeze some of mine for later in the week. *Nom*
Still haven't partaken in any more exercise- feel free to kick my bottom!
Have a great eve everyone! PhoeniX and Fmess and mothernerd and Lilt's Brother- get well soon! xx:coffee:
