Morning gang
Congratulations and well done Crazylady on your debt repayments!! :j :T What a lovely feeling to not owe the banks anything! I too would be tempted to keep hold of one credit card for emergency use only, which'll also maintain your credit score
Kat Hope this is the end of your underwear shenanigans although they say things always come in 3's!
MagicCat Glad your car passed the MOT and youve 'saved' £40
Thankyou for your comments and well wishes folks :A Woke up a little stiff this morning and aching in new places which will get better once I start moving about now.. I didnt go over the handlebars thankfully! The combination of a wet road surface and the brakes locking the rear wheel while swerving down hill caused the bike to fish tail underneath and saved all that! I guess landing on my side and sliding along the road was better than going over the bonnetDespite wearing waterproofs for some protection, I managed cuts, bruises and gravel rash on leg, hip n arm but no broken bones thank goodness :T
Thankyou for rescuing yesterdays NSD applemuncher! Today will probably be spendy though as I will be leaving the bike in Halford$ so they can get the motor working againThink its important to get 'back on the horse' straight away and not feel fearful of it..
Hope you all have a good day!

Such great news.!I am so proud of you! Nearly shed a little tear to see those 4 little jumping beasties beside your £0.00 totals!!
Through everything you have pushed yourself to the limits and really got what you deserve. A massive well done and I hope your friends bring you balloons and chocolates!!!
Big hugs you are an inspiration to all!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Good evening.
Can't believe you got away without a bra NSK. It is not something I could manage at all.

Spend day today but for good reason. My dad had forgotten to buy a birthday card for my mum so he asked me to pick one up for him.
Whilst in the shop we also bought a card for OH's grandad as we need to write him a letter (he wrote one to us).
So... credit card statement is in and I am probably not going to meet my debt free date.
However, I am going to fight to get it as close to £1000 as I can and hopefully I might get an early xmas miracle.
Congratulations crazy_lady2009 on becoming credit card debt free!!!!!!
:j
Oh pheonix... sounds like quite an accident. gravel rashes are surprisingly awful as they sound quite mild but with all the dirt and everything that gets into them, they are quite nasty. Hope you feel less sore tomorrow.
Hugs.
Good luck with your dissertation. I have some work stuff to do over the course of my two weeks off. We shall see how successful it is. Keep your fingers crossed that I have some moments of intelligence.
Erm... this work stuff is also classing as my "pass-it-on" thing. I am not going to go into details on a public forum and I don't know if the person I am trying to help will pass it on.
I hope this will still count. If you need me to explain NSK then I can PM you with what I am doing.

:j:j:jCongratulations:T:T:Tcrazy:T:T:Tlady:j:j:j.
Spent £5 on food and a pound on travel. Somewhat challenging day but got through it and quite happy on the whole - had to ask for help.
Have done / am doing a favour for someone - making a birdcage cover. Spent time watching a film cutting it out and hand sewing it, then tried to use one of mum's 2 sewing machines. Back to hand sewing. Sewn 1/2 way round and need to go round twice but the bird (or birds) are not coming soon (ebay cage was a bargain) so brought the material home to continue- cover is largest circle possible cut out of a double sheet.
May not be able to count it as haven't asked her to pass it on and she is going to look in her garage for one of her old mobile phones (mum and I looked for her partner's one - he can't hear what people are saying - but only found the box and instructions). The ones in C*sh gener*tor were too high tech for me.
Just had a 3 hour nap (want more sleep - much more) drunk lots of water and spent 1/2 hour getting the laptop to turn back on.
Today I am grateful for washing machines, people giving me lifts (due to circumstances beyond my control was left without money to either continue on to mum's or get myself back home) and for DS2 having a day's work trial for the people he had an interview with at the beginning of the week.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
NSK - I have also had bra related disasters, mostly due to the under wires. YANA. (sorry, I may have been waiting too long for the new Doctor Who series).
Today and tomorrow will be NSDs as I shopped yesterday and am holing myself up in my flat for what will hopefully be one of my last weekends of my dissertation. On the bright side, it does encourage me to not spend money I suppose.
Oh...and....I HAVE ONE MORE PAYMENT TILL I'M DEBT FREE!!!! <is slightly over excited>

Hi gang
Ive been up like a lark this morning and the sun is shining on this lovely day
Spend day yesterday having to buy a new cycling anti pollution mask after finding out the hard way that hot water and some plastics dont mix, leaving it looking like a large shrivelled up dried out contact lens!
Yesterday, the bike was left at Halford$ for the weekend where they will fix the puncture and motor then give it a safety once over, so Monday will be another spend day.
Well done speaking of art for getting so close to debt freedom! :j Hope you, stewby and mothernerd wont be stuck in doors for too long beavering away on your works in progress and and you manage to get a bit of sun on your backs..

Hi all,
Have been keeping up to date with all the news on here but never seem to have enough time to update!
Thanks Lilt for advice on YNAB - will definitely be buying it, love the way I can put the money away in different pots virtually, have been trying with cash envelopes and savings accounts in last couple of months and it's getting a little too convoluted. Have another three weeks to go, which takes me past payday (yippee!) then will be in touch for your code if that's okay? Glad to hear the news about your brother is a little more positive too. Just issue with Him to sort, suspect you already have the answer but good luck whatever way you decide.
Poor PheoniX - hope you're feeling better, nothing worse than coming off your bike at speed, glad it wasn't worse for you.
Congratulations speakingofart and Crazy_Lady for being debt-free and almost debt-free, must be a wonderful feeling!
NSK, love the bra-less and knicker flashing antics - hope that's the last of your underwear disasters now though.....
And I'm afraid to go back any further on thread than this page in case I lose my post, but hugs to all those with rotten neighbour issues, health problems and family illnesses and bereavements.
Have been a bit pants with SFD's of late, with taking DS's out and entertaining my mother, which also has taken its toll on petrol budget - and feeding another person has blown my grocery budget as well. I'm at a music festival tomorrow too, so that'll be another spendy day. Did manage another exercise stint this morning though - went to supermarket on my bike and worked hard on the way back as had 4 x litre bottles of lemonade and a very large tub of yoghurt in my rucksack!
So my update:
SFD 5/12
Exercise 8/18
Food 137.40/100
Petrol 90.66/80:eek: - but had 20p off per litre voucher so had to fill up.....
Planned spends 142.9/170
Declutter 20/20 - 4th item on auction site selling this time, rest to CS
Won't be checking in tomorrow as out early and staying over at a friend's tomorrow night, but promise to try and do better for second half of the month. Have a good weekend everyone!#21 Save £12k in 2025 £16977.35/£20000

Hello everyone,
Mothernerd - sounds good work news for DS if he has a trial, hope he gets the job.
Speakingofart - hope dissertation is going well! What's your subject?
Careaugirl - well done for the decluttering, hope you have a good time at the festival.
Hope you are having good weekends. Spendy day here - I did the Asdal click and collect for the first time, as used the MSE voucher code for £5 off - not too impressed, I think I'd have got it cheaper doing my usual aldini/liddler mix and it too ages to do online so not sure I've saved any time! And some weird substitutions, which meant I had to pop in and get things anyway. Also got some house stuff - compost etc - and some £land toiletries for me.
Not a very exciting day here - OH is out at he football, have borrowed my mum's carpet cleaner so going to do the living room while he's out. We are off to travelling up for the funeral tomorrow - had to get a B&B, so some non-budgeted expense but can't be helped. Will be glad when we're though it as have been having horrible dreams about things going wrong each night.:(
See you all on Tuesday - have a good couple of days.
