I do my weekly shop in Aldi. Cheaper to do my shopping there without a discount on petrol.

It depends on what you mean by "fix".
If you mean "to get it working like it is advertised" then I agree with you that there is nothing to fix.
But if you mean "to get it working so that it is sensible and doesn't mean customers having to inconvenience themselves to get the most out of it, even if that means changing the terms under which it is advertised" then I think it does need fixing.

Lets say the OP wasn't planning on going to Tesco for fuel after this last trip.
With the current scheme it would have made more sense for the OP to fill up with the minimum delivery (2 litres?) and use his 2p off then go straight back and fill up the tank using his 16p off.
And he could have only done that if he had read the terms that said he couldn't combine the discounts (which I assumed you could until I read the details which said you couldn't).

To me, that is a system that needs fixing so that it works in a sensible way.


It's as bad as those 3 for 2 offers (I think Boots is guilty here) where you buy something for £1 and your bill is £5 higher than it would have been if you hadn't have bought that £1 item.
