I was scrolling down the thread reading the comments, and when I saw the £5 question I thought to myself "Oh look, YorkshireBoy's coming next with a response he could've copied and pasted from last month and the month before..."
Sure enough it happened. Made me chuckle.0 -
My switch from the donor bank completed on Friday and the funds are now showing in my old Reward account that I requested the switch into.
How long before I get the £100 credit?
No mention under the details on the website, but there must be people here who have got their £100?
Interestingly my donor account is still showing on the other bank's internet banking, with a zero balance and is greyed out but I can still appear to use it. When I switched an old flextdirect from Nationwide to M&S to get the £100 voucher that account disappeared straight away completely from Nationwide and is as if it never existed.0 -
When I switched from the Coop (to M&S), the Coop account still showed for a couple of days with a zero balance. The Coop then removed my internet access so I assume they also deleted the account.0

Its the Co-op I sacrificed for Halifax. I still have a couple of savings accounts there. With a zero balance of course.0 -

So that's a free £200 in the last month or so - £100 cash and £100 M&S voucher.
I still have a few unused donor accounts available - any other easy incentives around? See new thread I started https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/50315510 -
From the t&c's from what I read, the £100 is credited on day 10.0

Guys,
Would it be possible to switch only one account (out of 3) from lloyds to Halifax for the reward?
I have 3 accounts with Lloyds (obviously old vantages), I am using one of them only, two are useless now.0 -
1 switch only ever switches 1 current account, the account number and sort code you ask them to switch.0

I've just opened up a Halifax Reward Account. Out of interest, what do people here do with regards to leaving a balance in the account? I know £750 must go through and 2 DDs out, but do you leave about £750 there each month or do you leave just enough to cover the DDs? The "interest" rate looks attractive on the £750 as is, but I suppose it's tempting to just take the £5 and save much of that £750 in another high interest rate account. This is everybody's fault but mine.0
