    Woohoo ...
Halifax is just paying me £100 in my account. Impressed ...
Those who already have mire than one reward AC. No need to worry they will not touch any of your rewards accounts as proven in my case as well as confirmation from their team.

The next step now. I am trying to convert my Halifax Current AC to become a Halifax Rewards. I already have two rewards AC, Is there any sneaky to convert this current AC to become Reward without getting caught ....

Do it quietly. But whatever you do, and since bank staff monitor social media sites, don't go publicising your plan on an internet forum. Whoops...too late! ;)
  • at what point do they normally deposit the £100 in your accounttoday is day 7 of my switch, my old account is still open at this moment in time, however all funds have been moved over to halifax.
this was too an existing reward account using their switch service, there were no dd'd involved

On the day of the switch I checked my Halifax account online in the morning and my £1 (money from other account) was showing in my account, however, on the afternoon the £100 (reward) was also showing in my account. HTH

just got in from a day in london and nothing in my account that resembles a £100 hello gift. Looks like the old account is all closed now i cannot access that online anymore.

    maybe tomorrow :)
  • I have tried applying for this to transfer our joint account.

The online form is only geared up for a single persons account, but I thought it would just ask me for the 2nd person info/account details later on. but before I knew it a new account had been created in my sole name.

You then have to fill in a separate form to switch your account which must match the name you have just filled in exactly.

So I called them ( one number with apparently different opening hours dependng on whether you're an existing or new customer. On calling I was asked for my account number, but as I am a new customer I dont have one.

When I got through I was told she couldn;t deal with it and had to as me on to the online team, who also couldn't deal with it and wanted to pass me back to the original team. They gave me a number to call for online applications (couldnt put me through).

I called the number and they said for joint accounts you have to log in to online banking to !!! in a second person, which I did.

I then went again to the switching form and was advised that because it is a joint account I have to make an appointment to go in to the branch.

At this point I gave up. Way too time consuming and I still have to cancel the new account!!!

I wasn't paying enough attention & signed up for their standard account without the £5 bonus.

For Club Lloyds, the website just let me instantly upgrade to that without any credit search.

Does anyone know if I were to upgrade with Halifax to the £5/month payment, whether there would be any additional credit search? Probably not worth it on my credit report, that's all.

    Thank you :)
