But so there are two of us trying to find an answer to your question, do you see anything in the T&Cs which says you'll forfeit the £5 Reward if you have an overdraft facility set up on the account?
I was reading through the posts and came accross #93. I must have mis-read it. Wouldnt be the first time!"It would be easier to find a packet of sliced hippopotamus in suitcase sauce" - Basil Fawlty0 -

Having an overdraft facility set up is OK. Use it, ie do not stay in credit, and you lose the fiver. However, if you went for the Reward account you'd also lose the £5 per month Reward if you used the facility.0 -

Thanks for that, thought the fiver was history!"It would be easier to find a packet of sliced hippopotamus in suitcase sauce" - Basil Fawlty0 -
Just so there's no further confusion, if you used the overdraft facility one month you'd only lose the fiver for that month. The clock would then start ticking again on the first day of the next billing period (which is the 2nd working day of the month). Thanks for that, thought the fiver was history!0 -
Can you use this if you have a Reward account already that I didn't get a bonus for and was opened 3-4 years ago.0

Possibly. To see whether you definitely can, why not read the offer T&Cs?...Can you use this if you have a Reward account already that I didn't get a bonus for and was opened 3-4 years ago.

Which bit of...
"Use the 'Current Account Switch Service', to switch into a new or existing Halifax Current Account, Reward Current"
...is making you think you can't get the £100 offer on your existing account?0 -
