    Damn

"'You are not eligible for this offer if you have received £100 for switching to a Halifax bank account at any point since January 2012."'

    which excludes most of us

Might try it with a single dummy account in case it works

Perhaps others will report any success/failure in doing so

How about switching into a Halifax account NOT previously used for a switch, maybe..

Oh - fiddlesticks. Was quite excited when I spotted this but I opened the account online on the 7th Feb and my switch completes on the 19th so looks like I'll just get the £100
    1. The offer applies to applications received in branch, online or by phone between 16th February 2015 and 5th April 2015. The offer is subject to change and can be withdrawn without notice at any time.

On the bright side - I did at least do it through Quidco so hopefully that £40 will pay out later this month (estimates 25 Feb)
  • Think I may go for this as it's now £125 and I already have the account - so no risk of referral/credit checks or thinking of excuses for yet ANOTHER Clydesdale a/c....!!

(God knows how much its already paid me in free fivers as well...... didnt get in early enough to get the seven or so reward a/c's some people did, but got three for me, three for OH, and three for adult son! -£45 per month....)

Don't get your hopes up. I know some people who are still waiting for Quidco cashback from a December switch

Hopefully now that offer has ended Halifax will start paying out the cashback.
  • Anyone else noticed the pdf t&c's say
The offer applies to applications received in branch, online or by phone between 20th February until 5th April 2015

but on the website it is 16th Feb. Which one is it?

Does anyone know how long it usually takes the Halifax to pay out the switching bonus? The T&C's just state it will be paid once the switch has completed but no time scale is given.

My switch completed yesterday so I'm just wondering how long I should leave it before I call them to chase/check?

(Yes, I know I'm probably being just a tad impatient)

Give it a week or so. They are usually very quick.

I'm sure they used to say somewhere on their website "3 days" but I had one payout next day earlier this month.

Usually paid on the 8th day (so today for you). Give it until 6pm and it should be there.

    Could be longer though.
