I have been eating them a lot lately when I have to rush out the door, they are a handy thing to grab out of the cupboard. Hence the cereals have now been ordered much quicker than porridge or eggs and cheaper than buying it on the way into work. I just need to get myself more organised in the mornings or in general actually!!

I like cereal especially the plain ones I can't think of anything worse than a bowl of pure sugar (i.e frosties). Even as a kid I preferred rice krispies (no added sugar of course), bran flakes or my favourite muesli. I was a weird kid.

  • Nothing wrong with nakd bars. Not processed at all.

I think your issue is that you are having lots of rest days. If you are having 4/5 rest days a week you really aren't in a workout routine. I understand that life has had its low parts for you recently. But taking time out aside, when you get back to it properly, 2-3 rest days a week. Not 4/5. Otherwise you are just going to slip back and its harder to pull yourself back when you get out of a routine.

You can make protein balls for pennies. An alternative to nakd bars. Or stuff like apple and peanut butter.

Preparation is the key to a healthy diet.

Thanks, to be honest I know this month has been rubbish exercise wise and I have started building that back up this week. I have started walking again from liverpool street a few times a week (stopped walking to it as I can get home 45mins earlier by catching the earlier train). I feel more positive about this week much more in control. One thing I have noticed since I started this is that I make time sure I get a decent amount of sleep before I would have 5-6hrs and I was so tired. I thought sleep was a waste of time. Now I get between 7-9hrs and wake feeling more refreshed and productive.

  • You will all be happy to know that I took the time to have a decent breakfast at home this morning and still managed to catch the early train to walk in to work. Go me!!
Strength training on the cards for this evenings workout I think.

Still a lot of sugars in naked bars (albeit natural) and high in calories too. There s a lot of articles on the internet about them and how good they actually are for you.

yes of course they are better than chocolate or cereal bars that's not what I was suggesting but I don't think the OP would be consuming a bar of chocolate etc a day in place of the Nakd bars

    Its like anything in moderation.
  • They are high in natural sugar. But at 143 cals a bar I don't think that is what would be causing weight loss to rise. It's the overall balance of food and exercise. Fructose is slower released than sugar

If I wanted to have a nakd or trek bar daily I'd have one. If everything else in my exercise plan and eating plan was balanced that wouldn't slow my weight loss down.

It's each to their own really, so many different ways to approach healthy eating.

You could make your own versions as well, cheaper.
