  • Friday food & exercise

Very tired/hungover and food choices not so good.

B: Sausages in a roll with a coffee
L: McDonalds - Quarterpounder with cheese and meduim chips plus an oasis
D: HM Chilli wrap with sour cream and cheese
    S: None
    E: Not recorded
    Cals: 2001
    Carbs:179g

Although the McDonalds was not a good choice, somethings I did learn.
    - My tastebuds have changed to the point this food tasted like cardboard and no longer holds appeal
    - I only got a standard meal no extras (unlike before when I would have added extra burgers on the side of a large meal) even when people started offering their extras around I wasn't tempted.

I see this in itself as progress

  • Changes that I am going to focus on this week.

    - keeping carbs at 100g or below.
    - more forward planning when it come to meals until it becomes second nature
    - increase weights - I have started to use my 2kg weights together to make 4kg until I can order some new ones. Going to go for 5kg :eep: dumbells and over Christmas order a 8kg kettlebell (Have my eye on a cast iron one will definitely last longer)
    - keep cals between 1600 and 1800

I have no social outings now until Christmas day so here's hoping next week I can lose a full pound.

Thanks Bluebell68 for your confidence and kind words.
My target is 8st 7lbs as according to my GP is bang in the middle of my prefered weight range for my height (I'm 5ft exactly). Before my thyroid died I was around a stone lighter than that, but then I was 18.
I am taking it slow as in the end I am trying to completely overhaul a lifetime of bad eating habits and an unhealthy attitude to food.

I actually for the first time opened up about my attitude to food to my mum and it really felt like a weight had been lifted. Sorry about the bad pun.
