Just a small point, its not really a cheat meal as such if your calories overall havent increased.

I don't really build cheat meals into my eating plan, if I do want to go off plan I do, but I don't sit down once a week and say, ok this is my cheat meal.

But as far as Im aware a cheat meal would involve eating more calories than usual (not totally overboard but enough to give your metabolism a kick start), but what you've done is, you've had the cheat meal and then you've compensated for it by not having an evening meal so your calories aren't any different to what you'd be eating on other days.

Youd be looking to have a meal thats higher in carbs and cals than what you would normally be eating, but you haven't done that here, so looking at that day's eating plan, your cheat meal isn't really going to have the desired effect of giving your metabolism a boost

I know sometimes its just in the wording and if you want a bit of a blow out thats fine, but if you did want to have a cheat meal, its ok to eat a bit more on those days, thats why people have them.

I had a cheat meal for that week as an experiment to see how I would get on introducing the occasional treat (which is maybe what I should have referred to it as instead of cheat) into my diet and having the rest of the week/month clean. I can then look forward to what I want as opposed to just letting myself go mad.

I didn't skip a meal to compensate. On this day as mentioned we didn't eat breakfast until late (11.30 or so. More of a brunch really). It was a bigger meal than I would usually have, and it filled me up until dinner. Think I may also have had a cheeky afternoon snooze. :p

I had planned on having a lunch for this day but where the meal was enough I didn't feel that eating lunch for the sake of eating it was alright? Or do I just power though? I find that I have most of my picky cravings after dinner.

Thanks purpleshoes, please see my notes in bold.
