I got it from Amazon in the end £67.81 for the slate but I can live with that as I used the last of my prime delivery free trial to get it tomorrow. Gives me time to play around with it over the weekend. Like the fact I will not have to take it off which is the issue I have with my pedometer sometimes of a weekend I forget to put it on first thing.

I didn't even think to look in Tesco Direct, oh well.

D: Chicken Enchilada - Leftover from fridge due to getting in late
S: 100g phili, 100g beetroot, 125g carrots, banana, the rest of "cracking black pepper cashews" (graze punnet), 2 three ginger tea & 2 peppermint and liquorice tea

Carbs a bit higher than I would like, same with today too. Going to work out weekly eating and exercise plans on weekends like I used to do when I was in slimmingworld. Just have to make sure I give myself enough time to make lunches and snacks.

  • Looked at the weather for the weekend Saturday is going to be wet and windy so will do my exercise indoors me thinks. Although have to go out into town too. Not looking forward to that.

On the plus side Sunday is looking dry and sunny so should be able to get out for my run around my local park. (Haven't been able past few Sundays due to ice)

  • Whoo hoo!! my Garmin Vivofit has arrived. Have to remind myself that I am at work therefore cannot spend all afternoon figuring out how to use it. That will have to wait until this evening.
Not sure what to do with my old faithful pedometer now though?

    Hey you lost anymore? :D
  • I put on 2 lbs over Christmas so hoping to have lost that at least, have weigh-in on Monday so I time will tell. I bought the Garmen to help push me to be more active I want to at least be 11st or under by end of Jan. It's 6 lbs in 3 weeks so that should be achievable.

Give it to someone who might use it, charity shop it?
  • Weigh-in this morning after being on a 1900 cal week. I have gained 1lb so I now weigh 11st 7lbs.

    Measurements last time
    Bust - 39
    Chest - 34
    Waist - 36
    Hips - 40
    Thighs - L23/R23
    Arms - L12/R12

    Measurements Now
    Bust - 39.5
    Chest - 34.5
    Waist - 36.5
    Hips - 41
    Thighs - L24/R24
    Arms - L12/R12

So I have gained both weight and measurements, so 1900 or there abouts is obviously too much for what I am currently burning off.

    Lesson learnt from this week:
    - 1900 is not a scary number
    - I don't need to be so strict with my food and can allow myself occasional treats (and not feel guilty when I do)
    - I need to take better care of myself both through diet and generally because I deserve it.

    Actions fro this week
    - knock cals down to between 1400 - 1800 depending on how much I burn each day or how hungry I am. I would still like to get as close to 11st as possible by the end of Jan.

My goal for next week is to be at 11st 5lbs or less.
Oh my garmin has just told me I have been inactive for too long so going to do a bit of walking round the office.

  • Honestly, I really don't think you can conclude after a week that 1900 is too high. I can gain and lose 2-3 pounds in 3 days.

Why would you randomly decide to pick a number? Start reducing your calories by 50 a week, I mean set a number, take 50 off the following week and at some point you should get to a level where your body loses 1-2 pounds a week. I walk 4 miles a day which gives me a cal burn of around 1800 or so. If I did that plus ate 1900 cals I'd be plus 100.
