  • They call this Low Carb, Real Food (LCRF) which is basically the same principles as Paleo then.

How long did it take you to make the transition?

I had already cleaned up my diet and made a lot of changes, following Paleo was just the last step, I was asked to follow it during a bootcamp I did, some people dont but you get better results if you do.

Its helped me a lot for many different reasons as Ive not always had the most positive relationship with food, its just a way of eating to me now.

That is what I am working through at the moment. Learning new responses to food is so difficult at first especially as it means changing everything.

I used to not think twice about pouring a huge bowl of coco pops, croissants or have crisps for breakfast on a daily basis. I shudder to think that I also used to believe that I ate quite well.

Thanks purpleshoes, one change I have made this week was to switch my meals onto a smaller plate which is actually a normal sized plate (20cm est as opposed to 30+cm).
I have found eating no less than 1600 cals a struggle but I have achieved it so this week I am going to focus on eating a varied array of vegetables and adding more exercise into each day.

I've had times of eating very little and it still wouldn't shift. Dieting is one of the hardest things to do. I'm finding swimming is helping though

I find getting the nutrition balance just as difficult. I have for years only looked at the calories of the items I was eating instead of the nutrition value. I think that I am just starting to get this.
I used to love swimming me and my sister used to go once a week and it was a nice catch up. Can't do that now as she is in Staffordshire and I am not.

Quite annoyed at myself actually. My hubby was supposed to cook last night and decided he didn't want to as he wasn't feeling well. (we have both come down with nasty colds) so decided we would get pizza. I didn't really want it but I ate it anyway as I was extremely hungry by this point and I just wanted to eat something and get to bed. What I really wanted was the Chilli he was going to cook and in retrospect I wish that I had just gone into the kitchen and made it myself.

  • Really not feeling very well today taken some ibuprofen and I am drinking hot water with lemon & honey usually I put garlic in my remedy but thought the office wouldn't appreciate that too much. DH is cooking the chilli tonight that should of been cooked last night so that should also help with the sinus's. Hoping I feel better for Work Christmas Party tomorrow really looking forward to it.
