  • Ok I have worked out snacks and lunch for the car journey tomorrow.
I will be having eggs for breakfast and a coffee
Snacks : carrot sticks, 2 peppers, almonds, Brazil nuts, apricots, banana & a Greek salad for lunch. That should keep me going for the 6-7hrs we are in the car.

  • I have recently got a cross trainer and an exercise DVD. I'll be doing one or both of these every day. That's my first change, fit in more exercise rather than just walking.

I'm also really bad for not eating breakfast, just having a coffee, so I will be having something every day. And cutting out all fizzy drinks and replacing them with water or tea (white or green varieties). Tomorrow I'm going to start cutting out carbs except for a maximum of 2 slices of wholemeal bread per day.

Love the idea of having a bowl of hard boiled eggs ready to snack on.

Your snacks for the car journey sound great.

  • Had a bad food day today. Been busy washing, packing and cleaning. Then had a. 25th wedding anniversary party to go to. So I started off with 2 slices of seeded toast with butter. By 1pm I was starting to feel hungry so had a banana and nectarine. By 3pm I was hungry again but where am trying to clear all food out of the fridge it's pretty empty so had another slice of toast with peanut butter and a coffee. Did some more washing and cleaning.
Went to the party and had a lemonade but then stuck to water but had the buffet, some salad did make it onto my plate but not enough.
I did some dancing and have walked 11455 steps - 5.2miles
    Tomorrow is a new day

Sounds like an autumnal comfort food craving. I've been suffering from that too.

How about a bowl of porridge?

  • Sorry for the long absence. Been on holiday and had not much time to log on and update.

I ended up putting on two pounds even with all the exercise but knew it was going to happen as my mums diet is atrocious.
I did have a good time though and am ready to get back into my normal eating patterns.

I plan on this week just focusing on getting my eating and exercise regime back on track.
