  • I dont know why I let it get to me tbh

I've emailed POPLA again now, so I hear what youa re saying about even if POPLA dont get them to cancel this, then we go back to how things were 2yrs ago...

I ignored a few before in the past and they eventually stopped, but these guys did a credit check and contacted me at my parents home for some reason that worried me.

I know that the £1 to park in iceland was paid, as you get this refunded at the tilll, so they are just trying it....

I need to stand firm and ignore them youa re right.

Perhaps there was no need for POPLA...?

    Thanks C-M

Well POPLA is great because it kills the issue stone dead when you win. But in any case, Excel hardly ever try Court at the moment. I reckon they - and a fair number of other PPCs - are waiting to see what happens in Feb 2015 in the PE v Beavis CoA case.

Just collect the letters and come back to this thread to bump it if you get court papers. If you get a LBCCC then see the LBCCC Fightback sticky for a response.

  • UPDATE:

POPLA have responded by saying they have forwarded my appeal to the PPC and that the appeal will be heard in early November. So Hopefully I should hear back then, lets hope they accept the appeal.

Ive emailed POPLA again to make sure that they send the complete appeal to the PPC and that the complete appeal is heard (as you may recall I had initially only mistakenly sent part 1 and 2 of the appeal and not the complete template posted here).

    Thanks

It's good to hear they finally agreed to hear it late. Was that because the BPA said they should?

  • To be honest, BPA didnt really help, they said they cant get involved I think POPLA just felt sorry for me as I explained the circumstances.

    UPDATE;

POPLA have sent me an email with the documents that EXCEL sent them.
They have a large folder with various pictures, surveys, reports, a breakdown of costs as to why the penalty charge is so high detailing their maintenance costs etc...it seems so comprehensive I do feel slightly worried now.

Any advice. I think POPLA said end of Nov the case will be heard now...

    Thanks

Search the forum then for all the other Excel cases. They all get that drivel - and best advice is to rebut it (again, already covered to death on other threads, in great detail - you can copy the relevant bits!).

So you mean I should submit a 'counter-appeal' so to say, something in repsonse to the huge file of attachemnts they sent to POPLA....?

Thanks I will have a search on the forums!

    Cheers
