  • Dear RandomCurve,

I have been trying to register on the site you set up a few times today, but it always comes up a dialogue box saying that "user registration is currently not allowed". Why?

I am a t-mobile victim and I sent 2 types of emails today to the EE addresses stated.
I bcced them to info@fightmobileincreases.com anyway, but I would like to be able to contribute to the forum too.

    Please let me know how.

    Best wishes

Some light relief while we wait - obviously I won't be giving up the day job!

I wonder if the conversation went something like this (EE = EE, C= CISAS, Y=You (or me)).

    1 week ago:
EE - Hi is that CISAS?
C - Yes how can we help?
EE – It is EE here
C – Hello, wait one moment and I’ll put you through to our senior management
C – Hello, is that EE
    EE - Yes
C – How can we help?
EE – We need you to stop accepting these T&C cases
C – But we have before
EE – You are not listening we want you to stop taking these T&C and cases
C - Oh yes I understand, but it drives our revenue
EE - don’t worry about that
    C - Pardon?
EE - We will take care of that – just stop taking the cases
    C – What about Ofcom?
    EE - Who?
    C - Ofcom
EE - No, you’ll have to help me there
C - Ofcom the industry regulator
EE – Oh yes them, you mean OfcomEE, they are one of our subsidiaries
C - Ah yes, that explains a lot of things. What shall we tell the consumers?
EE - Your problem, just don’t accept the cases
C - But there are laws
    EE – Really?
    C – Yes….
    EE - Stop the cases!
C – Okay we will pretend we are giving this serious consideration by saying it will take at least a week to decide
EE – Okay we understand – where do you want to go for that week Barbados or the Maldives?
C – Maldives are nice this time of year, thanks
EE – Okay, no problem Bye

    1 week later:
Y - Hello is that CISAS
C – Yes, this is cEEsas
Y – I don’t understand why you accepted my case and are now refusing to hear it.
    C – Sorry we can’t discuss this
    Y - Why not?
C – We need to maintain our independence
Y - But you spoke with EE
    C – Did we?
    Y - Yes
C – I’m sorry but we can’t say anything or it will impair our independence
Y – You’re not listening you have already spoken with EE, how can that be independent?
C -No you are not listening I said it will infringe on our inter dependence

    Y – What?
    C – Our independence
Y – Can I speak to someone more senior?
C – No that is not allowed within the process
Y – I thought you were supposed to be independent
C – We are inter dependant
Y – Yes, I can see that - I’ll contact Ofcom, this can’t be right.
C – Okay, but remember OfcomEE can’t take on individual cases that is why cEEsas exists – goodbye.

The above may or may not be based on true events, any resemblance to persons or organisations either living or dead is purely coincidental.

Hi we had originally planned to have a forum, but having looked into some of the legalities I thought it safer to use MSE which already has some weasel words about liability and opinions expressed etc to cover themselves - see the forum rules http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/site/forum-faqs?_ga=1.146716339.665432925.1408227204. MSE also have forum helpers to help police things. We just don't have the resources to do that. I'll ask my web guy to remove the forum part.

If you don't want to participate on MSE there is always the FightMobileIncreases Facebook and Twitter pages:

  • RC that's very much how I'm interpreting the goings on, fortunately with CISAS every call (allegedly) is recorded and whilst I am quite possibly the Bain of their life at the moment that will probably be Mondays request that I put through. Softly softly catchy monkey (although not one of my requests has been responded to in writing not even an acknowledgment form graham at OFCOM) hmmmm

By the way as I'm sure everyone here would agree with we really appreciate what you're doing here with our cases!

Entirely agree. I really need to make a decision soon otherwise I'm going to end up not making one at all!

Actually - this is all a bit weird. CISAS turned me down straight away, and several people haven't received EE defences. Definitely seems a little "off" to me!
  • So at some point between receiving my case and you submitting yours EE got to CISAS I really think you should write to CISAS and object to their decision but in the interests of transparency copy in EE exec office?

Can you post the text from your rejection letter as their must be a reason they rejected it.
