Thank you Natty, Dusty and Honey Bear for keeping us active, and welcome to newbies and returners.
I am struggling atm for all sorts of reasons. DH is in a down mood. I am still trying to complete a pile of urgent work, but this morning I have to go out with the U3A canals group and this evening the old wives are coming here to do crafts [memo to self: steam mop kitchen floor before they come! - the rest of the downstairs is reasonably tidy] so I am only left with the afternoon to work at the computer, and then - even with the study bedroom curtains closed - I suspect it will be too hot and bright to work in comfort. I despair of ever getting the job done, but it *has* to be done by Friday whether I like it or not, and it will be my main priority this week.
I shall be looking after DGS1+2 for 3 days next week, which will involve a lot of travelling to fetch them and take them home again but will be fun. At least they won't bother about the state of the house! They sleep in this room, so the mess of papers has to cleared. I might take my PC down to the dining room so that I can carry on working in the evenings. At times like this I wish I had bought a laptop instead, but I just can't cope with flat keyboards. Thinking about it, perhaps I could move it down for this afternoon too; I shall not need the printer, and the PC and monitor are easily portable.
DH has at last succeeded in setting out the base for part of his garden railway in the raised bed. He is not coming on the canals visit today, in order to carry on working. Yesterday he went out wearing his almost brand-new zip jacket, which is a thick knobbly texture, and somehow got an orange mark on the front; he tried to wash it out but only succeeded in rubbing it further into the fabric. I have machine washed the jacket twice but the stain is still there - I believe it must be lily pollen. Will try hanging it outside today and see if the sun will help - if not, I foresee endless soaks and washes
Wishing everyone a productive week, or a good rest if you're going on holiday. (((Hugs))) all round, especially to Mumto5, with posivibes to Ginge x0 -

I have been awol for the last week but I have been reading. Had a huge argument with OH yesterday he moaned that none of his clothes were ironed, he has had the week off work and has spent 10-14 hours a day upstairs on his own playing games on his PC! Cheeky git now has the message if he would like yo treat me like a skivvy I would much rather become a single parent I have 3 children I don't need a 4th!
Anyway I am going to take the kids to the park and then look at the lists. Have a good day people x0 -
Hello everyone,
I'm back from a lovely, relaxing holiday and feeling physically quite a bit better so will do some fluttering this week.
Thank you to Dusty and Natty for the lists.
Thank you very much for the kind words before my holidays to everyone, esp. Bossy, Dusty, Natty, Valli, Lynne, HoneyBear, Mrs M-P et al. Hoping that everyone on holiday is having a great time.
Sending best wishes to Mrs M-Ps MIL and Ginge, Mumto5's DDs fella.
I did have a skim through last week's lists, just to check up on you all and you were suitably busyand hello to all the  newbies, welcome.
Catch you all later, after I have tackled my MOUNTAIN of paid stuff!Proud to have dealt with our debt. DFW Nerd 1474

DS1 needs to work off some debt (booked his hamster into board at the pet shop whilst we're away, it's costing almost £50  ) so I think I'll be delegating as many listy jobs to him as I can whilst I'm out earning.
Fizz - this caught my eye as you may know I have quite a few rescue animals of the small caged variety hehe... something I've been thinking about is if I advertised as a boarding service for small animals to earn some extra money, would people use it, and you've just answered my question!
Can I ask how their charges work? Because that's a LOT of money!!! To quote a line from a movie I love: "I can feel the little money hairs on the back of my neck go woo woo woo!"
LC xx
Thanks Natty et al for the thread! Now, onto flylady stuff... I too am glad it's kitchen day! Good place to start as I don't have to cook for a couple of days so I know it'll stay nice! haha

Morning everyone! I'd like to join in here as I seriously need to get control of my life. I want to be more organised but it's a case of I leave everything till Sunday when all I want to do is sleep and then nothing gets done. Hopefully by joining in here, I can get everything sorted by the weekend and then just relax (yeah right!)

Thanks for the thread Natty. Sorry I couldn't get back on here as quickly as I'd hoped, and also sorry if that inconvenienced anyone.
Challenge List updated this morning.
Huge (((hugs))) Ionafan. Any way you can 'sub-contract' the computer work to a 'volunteer'? It sounds as though you might be a tad tense for a few days, and that's not like you. I thought I'd never get used to working on a flat laptop keyboard, but as long as the thing is on my lap, I'm fine with the flat keyboard. When I take it to the chalet to work, I have a spare 'proper' keyboard to put in front of it so I can work at the table. I find having a main computer and a laptop an absolute God-send at time like this. (To transfer stuff between them, I send them as email attachments rather than mucking around with memory sticks etc.) Would that be worth considering?
I have the final push on my office today to make a right for A, as he will be in there for five nights. Lovely, lovely guest who's stayed here before, and both OH and I are very fond of him so giving up my own space for a week is okay. The last eight boxes are on the landing. I might see if I can get on with the wretched Frog on the laptop, and if I can clear it this week that would be fabulous.
I hope all Holidaying Flyladies are having a lovely time, and that Ginge is holding his own. Hugs for Mumto5 and her DD.Better is good enough.0 -

Count me in please. Thanks to this thread in the last 2 weeks my house has started to resemble a home again instead of a tip lol. Keeping up with the daily flying, iv created a list of our own jobs that need to be done on set days of the week and managed to convince my oh, son and 3 step sons that they need to help do things from the list when they are around. We are already planning the big challenge seeing how my asthma is doing better at present we are going to work round the house room by room over coming months and declutter and decorate everywhere ... It's time we had a home we can be proud of and everyone helped out instead of me doing all of it if I can and nothing happening at all if I can't lol. Thank you xxThanks!
