Dancemum, that sounds as though the Challenge has turned into something that isn't helpful or beneficial. Healing vibes for DS2 and soothing vibes for you with a (((hug))) or three on the side.
And healing and coping vibes for Ginge, Mumto5 and her DD.
Valli, I'm so thrilled you had a lovely end of year with your pupils' parents. Have a wonderful time in Sorrento.
Now that my office is occupied, I'm working on one item at a time from the six boxes stacked on the landing. Yay! They won't be cleared by the end of July but if I could get them down to four that would be amazing.Better is good enough.0 -
Morning All
First day of the holidays for me and as I've been out at camp for the last 3 weekends and DH has been recovering from an op everything is everywhere. I brought all my stuff home from work on Friday, which was 3 boxes full, went to Cub camp, came back on Sunday and dumped my camp stuff on top of it! In work yesterday for a training day and we're going on our hols on Friday so I need to do something! Going to start with sorting the ironing pile in the conservatory so at least some stuff can be put away and I can see what needs ironing for the holiday.
Hope everyone's well.
Have a good day all
Hugs

Morning all
Healing vibes to those in need (especialy Ginge) and coping vibes to everyone else!
Not caught up properly. This is just a Flying visitYesterday I spent the whole day scanning papers. I've cleared all the benefit letters, council tax bills etc from 2003-04 upto and including 2007-08, and put all the tenancy agreements/gas safety certificates together. Tomorrow I'll carry on tackling the next folder which is bills.
Up at 6am today (overslept, my alarm was set for 5am but it would appear I'd turned the volume down & therefore slept through it) but we still left the house at 6.50amI was in Mr T by 7.15am, and it was horrible with rubbish on the floor, and cages blocking aisles! Decided to make it a "only what we need that I can't get in Mr A" shop and therefore spent <£4 :rotfl::rotfl: DD was bouncing all morning and told me to stop nagging her about keeping her phone/bag/camera/money safe. Told her to stop and listen to what I was saying and repeat it back to me (so I know she'd actually listened) or she wasn't getting the money. She shut up at that point
:rotfl: I have her bus pass so will be going to meet her for when they get back. They're supposed to be back by 7pm, and her pass isn't valid after 8pm so if they're late she'll have to pay bus fare. I wasn't going to let her take it, she's already had one replacement due to her loosing it. Another will cost a lot more than £5!!
Came home, I've done 2 wash loads which are now on maidens, washed a batch of chunky dishes, sorted some work stuff out and decided not to go to the bank today. Instead I'm going straight to the shops now my phone is charged, posting the rental DVD back as I pass the post boxI put my pjs on so I could cool down so I'm off to get dressed and head out again, remembering the suncream and my DIY lists

I really like my new Dys0n!:o I've given it a "test drive" and was horrified at the amount of dust it picked up in a very short space of time:eek: Obviously the old one has not been working efficiently for quite a while. It feels a lot different to steer, but I think I'll get used to it with no problem.:o
Mr LW has worked through his urgent things to do list; there's just the preparation for his horse-piddle visit now:- Put bread machine in spare room - last minute task (it usually lives on top of the fridge-freezer, but he won't be able to lift it down for quite a while, so it can go in the spare room and I'll trundle it through on the trolley to use)
- Make sure fridge, freezer and cupboards are well stocked WIP
- Organise sick note from GP as clinic only gives one to cover day of op
- Identify a couple of outfits I can get on and off without assistance
- Fill up car with petrol - day before op
- wash bath towels and put clean ones out to use - weekend before op (I struggle to get wet bath towels onto the line by myself)
- Get anything needed soon from loft and/or put away anything that needs to go up (I can't access the loft myself)
- Ensure meds cupboard is stocked
We're working on the "6 P's" principle - Prior Planning Prevents P!$$-Poor Performance.:o
