Squeak is vacuuming her treehouse .. she has already dusted :)

I look forward to Squeak's first post appearing on the Flylady forum :D

I have lost another 1lb this week - it was hard work, but I am now lighter than any time in the past 40 years :) There's still another week in July, so I shall attempt to keep on plan. DH still struggles every time he has a down day :( (((Hugs))) dancemum - I know how hard it is to keep trying x

The towels went on the line at 11 pm yesterday so are now well dry :p
Some work achieved today: a major stumbling block to finishing unit 3 has been removed and there's not a lot to do to unit 4. Then comes the fun bit - introductory notes for each unit and making up the materials. I shall be home alone all day tomorrow :) Maybe I shall have time to touch up some paint on the walls and door frames too.

Hope everyone is coping in the heatwave. I'm sitting here with windows wide open to catch the breeze, closed curtains for shade, and the light on so that I can read my notes - couldn't be bothered to set the PC up downstairs again

    Hi all

Just dashing in and dashing out again. Paid stuff done at job number 1 and an hour completed at job number 2. Just put some mince on to make shepherds pie for tea and may just do some filing while that cooks.

Bathroom needs a good blitz, DS2 needs picking up from school and the doggie needs a walk when it cools down a bit.

Pigpen I have got some old kids clothes too and I really cant be bothered to e-bay them. They may just go to the charity shop.

Got to run! Catch up later x

I really like my new Dys0n!:o

Mr LW has worked through his urgent things to do list; there's just the preparation for his horse-piddle visit now:
Please, can anyone think of anything I/we should do that I've omitted?:o

Charge mobiles if you have them.
Make sure you have one working torch. Not so vital in the summer, with light nights, but still a reassurance.
Have someone (who knows you) that you can contact in an emergency - the dog agency person, maybe? or MrLW's friend who visits you? or Kaz?
Get some new-to-you books or magazines for you and Mr LW, but don't worry if you don't get round to reading them - they'll keep!
Don't try to do too much while MrLW is away.

Hope all goes very smoothly and you have MrLW back home very soon.
  • Update - well I "cheated" at weigh in and took off my shoes!! so 2lbs lost. Just done HHI and about to have a quick drink and do a double HHC - anyone joining me?

I've dusted and vacuumed everywhere. Actually, typing that I've just realised that I forgot to vacuum the kitchen , I'll sweep it now in a minute instead.

Kitchen has had a quick blitz and all the shopping is away; I've never seen Aldi so quiet, nor Iceland. 30 mins from parking up to driving home :)

Got home and decluttered an half hour long argument with DD :(

I need to make meatloaf and take DS1 to Toys R Us to collect some carp that he's reserved, and I desperately need a shower :o

LW: which Dy$on did you get? Upright or cylinder? If it was an upright, is it still really fiddly to empty?

Charge mobiles if you have them. We're good at keeping them charged, but I'll write it on the list just to be safe. Thanks.:A
Make sure you have one working torch. Not so vital in the summer, with light nights, but still a reassurance. We do. I have a couple of wind-up lanterns for use when doggies go out for their last wee before bed.
Have someone (who knows you) that you can contact in an emergency - the dog agency person, maybe? or MrLW's friend who visits you? or Kaz? I have A's number in my mobile - he's my first line of defence if I were to have a bad fall at home or other emergency, as he has our spare key; and he knows Mr LW is going for the op. :o
Get some new-to-you books or magazines for you and Mr LW, but don't worry if you don't get round to reading them - they'll keep! Mr LW can take the Christopher Paolini book he's currently reading, or if he prefers there are loads of books I brought with me when I moved in here that he hasn't read yet, by authors he likes;:D I have some new (free) stuff on my Kindle;)Good thought; I must add "reading material" to his list of stuff to take. Thanks.:A
Don't try to do too much while MrLW is away. I'll be looking after Jessie Labradoodle, and that'll be it, I think.:o

Hope all goes very smoothly and you have MrLW back home very soon.
Thanks for this:A - oh yes, note to self - remember to eat!!:D
LW cant think of anything youve missed. i hope everything goes well and there are no emergencies while your DH is recovering. have you got the stuff in for the bm should you need to use it?
That comes under stocking the cupboards, but yes, thanks, we do. The monthly Farmers Market is the Sunday before the op, as luck would have it; I've done the list for that already, and put extra of both types of bread flour on it so that we have a good supply.:o I have plenty of all the other ingredients.;)

There's still a fortnight to go; but this is my way of coping, I suppose - if I feel I'm doing something constructive to make the whole thing easier, I don't feel so helpless.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
