Morning all, been busy here. Went to M&D's on sunday and I think it's taking me to now to recover lol, kids had a blast tho.
Still working away at ebay/gumtree pile. House looks awful tho so i'll have to make a big difference today. Need to get the hedges cut and check/wash the paddling pool. Boys need to tidy their bedroom again and I need to get DS2's b'day present. Plus loads to do for charity, going to be a crazy few days.“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0 -
I'm filing and deleting emails as I can't get into my office. It's taking ages.
Mrs Dog is in season again, less than three months after the last one ended. I'm working on the theory that her system was probably 'shut down' by the dreadful state of her health before I had her and her puppy-making machinery is making up for lost time. I have no idea whether that's possible, but I can't think of any other explanation.Better is good enough.0 -
Oh my goodness it's so warm here today, I think every part of me is sweating.
Floors all been brushed, dw loaded, wm loaded, washing put on line, recycling out, bin bags of clothes moved to ack hall out of the way (need to buy more bin bags lol), kitchen table cleared and wiped, kitchen worktops cleared and cleaned.
Going to gather more washing then get boys to make a start in their bedroom. I'm going to put clean washing away and give bathroom a clean (ozzy due his bath). Can't go near my bedroom OH still sleeping and he wonders why I can't be bothered anymore.“Life is short, live it. Love is rare, grab it. Anger is bad, dump it. Fear is awful, face it. Memories are sweet, cherish it.”0 -
WM x 2, TD also been on to finish off stuff, dailies done, DD on her way home then I can do the other 2 loads of washing. I am now sat waiting for my laptop to finish its virus scan then I can get on with the scanning/flinging. Hoping to get rid of a lever arch folder full of papers today, then I can start on my "to file" boxCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

We are on holiday!!!
At the coast in my DD caravan, so relaxed I'm horizontal...literally!!! (No alcohol involved I'm just catching upon all the sleep I don't seem to manage during term time!
I haven't really done much flying except for making the bed and making sure I tidy the lounge and wash up before I go to bed each night but even that is making a difference. We're off home tomorrow so I shall clean through before we go. My big sis is coming for a week next week and my little sis the week after that.
Being here and having time to think has made me even more determined to declutter and simplify when I get home, Iv'e been looking at project 333 and lots of minimalist blogs and I really feel drawn to that way of life and the beginning of a 6 week break is a good time to start I think!! All that there is in the caravan is the essentials and that has made it so much easier to do anything/everything.
Food for thought!Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0 -

More washing done, including hand-washing the dress I got in Brugge, Hairy Hooligans' needs dealt with, BM on for another loaf, and I need to make a cake of some sort this afternoon. Other than that - I'll try and throw a duster round the place later, by which time it'll be time for Mr LW to come home from work.
He's had a letter from the clinic, he has to go for a pre-op "assessment" chat on July 31; they also want me to attend with him, not sure why.:( Hospitals scare the life out of me, so I'm not looking forward to it at all.:( I shall be so glad when all this business is over. I know it's nothing compared with what some of you are going through, but I really, really don't cope well with stress of any sort.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hello ladies, I have remained here and not joins DH and the kids in Cornwall. I've had a good sort out of DS2's room. I have to keep busy so my mind doesn't wander.
Ginge is still in intensive care. Still asleep. Serious but stable. I'm going up to London with DD a little later.
juliejim Hello I hope your DH is on the mend after his op.0
