Update - done the ironing and put it away and now have done most of the kitchen - except the hob which I'll do after our meal!!
Need to do bathroom tomorrow so playing catch up somewhat -
I am on a "Pigpen Roll" however re tidying and decluttering so that's being done as well. The whole place looks better already - need to water the front garden then do a little more paperwork!! Did half an hour on it before lunch so that's going down slowly too!
Catch up tomorrow. xxJuly 16 £95/£200

I'd like to join as I am having a few problems with stress and the house is a mess and I like the idea of someone else suggesting what needs doing rather than me having to try and make a decision and try and find some motivation. Really appreciate MSE and the people that put so much time and support into helping other people. I did print the flylady list out - must have been years ago - and I kept it in a folder with it always on my mind but I never got into a routine to do it - this time I am determined to and like other people say - posting about it instead of lurking might help me stick to it. Maybe in time I can develop my own routine.
I've probably done wrong trying to do it all and feel bad were I have not managed to do things but I am going to try and ignore my pessimist nature and try not to let my negativity spoil what I have managed to achieve. 95% of this would not have got done had it not been for the flylady so I need to feel good about what has been achieved.

Evening all, hope everyone is well
Welcome to the newbies, please DO NOT try and do everything in one hit..you will only end up crashed out. Also if you started today please don't do Monday's as well - just do the day you started..
Had a lovely session at group therapy today, we have broken up now for three weeks for summer holidaysWho knew we get holidays..lol Then went to my "sisters" for a couple of hours for a cuppa and a natter..and try not to wilt in the heat..lol Can't wait until it cools down myself..menopause and heat do not mix..lol
Attention NATTY
I cannot, unfortunately 'supply' as thread leader for Dusty's week - I am so sorry but I have been treated to a holiday and am off to Sorrento with DD. I will get to (finally) see Pompeii! I am so sorry for letting you all down!
Have a lovely time in Sorrento Valli and don't worry about next weekI will sort out the lists next week
My ironing lady did a batch of my ironing for me this afternoon - it was so lovely to open DH's wardrobe and see nearly all his shirts in there all ironed and ready to wear, and I didn't do anything.. lol I wonder what I looked like though toddling over the road from her house (she is opposite me) with my clothes on hangers and an ironing pileStill at least it will give something new for the road to giggle about

25 slugs and 2 snails thrown over back fence [/COLOR]
This really tickled me - do you not like the neighbours then? Just have visions of them sitting in their garden and slugs flying overhead. Or maybe the back fence goes onto a field or something, I am curious now - but it did make me smile
I know I shouldnt complain but its warm, the house is stuffy and I feel bleugh. OH and I made ourselves do some gardening earlier so I sacrificed a proper clean of the bathroom which was worth it because the garden looks loads better.
I should really head off and get into bed soon. Might just send a quick e-mail to my brother first as we havent spoken in ages, I know an e-mail is a bit of a cop out but at least I can say hi.
Rambling now, off to bed. Night all x0 -
Evening all - it's rather warm!!
Last day of school tomorrow - the children have had enough and are not coping with the heat (our classroom was really hot today) so are definitely ready for the break - as are we!!Morning all
I've decided that I need to be a lot more organised again. So I'm going to try and jump back on the flylady wagon again.
Hi TAG - good to have you back
Welcome to all the newbies - nice to see so many of you jumping in
House is a tip - ah well
Valli - lovely to hear about your gifts (and your holiday); I too had a card today that made me cry - YR girl who is moving away so last day in school tomorrow and parents wrote to thank us for all the help we have given E in helping her to find her voice (amongst other comments). Makes everything more than worthwhile:D:D

on2 children away to KH's .. 2.. it is actually worth the bother???
Normally as a self-avowed feminist who quite likes men I'd say yes, but in his case probably not. :cool:I'd like to join
Good. Wanting things to be more straightforward is the way most of us started. I began with the first thing on the first list on the first day I became a Flylady and it's been working so far.
Yesterday's seven WM loads back on, folded and rehomed. Handwashing still drying, but fabby new method discovered and WM powder drawer cleansed. Chalet holiday for 'Moi' planned for the first time in two years which will make Mrs Dog's life a lot easier for a couple of weeks and fabby film watched.
Wow! Ionafan - lighter than at any time in the last 40 years? Huge congratulations! I'm channelling Dusty, Bossy and Valli here just in case one or two of them is on holiday. You've worked so hard to get where you are, it must be lovely to feel so slim!Better is good enough.0 -
Evening all
6+ miles decluttered today  My legs are already complaining, I dread to think what they'll be like tomorrow! My livingroom is covered in chaos and I don't care right nowI'm hot, tired and achy so I'll tackle it tomorrow before I munch some more frogs
I have a few new things to add to my DIY list (more finishing touches so bottom of the lists) and I need to fling paint charts tomorrow as I picked new ones up today so I know that they are the current colours
Had a narrow escape this afternoon, I was stood in the queue in C1aires when a woman picked up one of the big bottles of nail varnish and it dropped out of her hand right next to me. There was orange stuff everywhere but it all missed me
Tomorrow is dailies & laundry while frog munching, Thursday work with a grocery run between 'shifts', then Friday DD and I will fling open the windows, crank up the music to try and drown out the workmen over the roads radio which I've been listening to the past few weeks, and will get stuck in with the cleaning! If we work as a team, we should be able to get the whole house done during 'school hours' even taking regular breaksI love having a small mostly decluttered house sometimes
:rotfl::rotfl:
My phone is now charged for the 3rd time in 24 hours so I'm off to bed. Night all :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
How lovely Valli on the great comments and the holiday!
I feel really bad about not getting Dd's teacher and TA's a gift DD was sent home poorly last week on Wednesday and they told me to bring her back in September lol.Honey_Bear wrote: »Valli, I'm so thrilled you had a lovely end of year with your pupils' parents.
