Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning all :D

Working from my own lists until Friday when both DD and I will be tackling the entire list
    - Today I'm doing paperwork, I want to fling/shred/file/condense lists as much as possible.
    - Tuesday I'm running errands as I'm getting the bus with DD at 7am as she has to be in school early so getting a day pass and will be doing Mr T when DD has met her friend outside the store. Then home, back out to the bank and then on to Dunhelm Mill which I've still not had a chance to visit. I'll then go on to the other shopping places, I'm desperate for some inspiration for my bedroom :o
    - Wednesday DD finishes for the summer (take away tea planned :p)
    - Thursday I'm working.
    - Friday house being cleaned top to bottom, inside & out
    - Saturday or Sunday we have visitors as ex's parents are coming down for the weekend with DD's cousins to see Giant Spectacular and will be taking DD with them on Sunday to see the finale (she might be staying with them Saturday night as well) as I have no desire whatsoever to go (the puppets freak me out ) and ex is going away camping Monday so needs to get sorted for that.

DD will be cleaning the kitchen today when she gets home from school. She baked yesterday (very tasty ;)) and it wasn't until I went in there to get breakfast this morning after she'd left for school that I noticed just how much butter icing has been dribble on the floor and down cupboard/appliance fronts. No idea what she was doing but she's made a hell of a mess! I've cleaned up the floor but its left yellow stains, and half of what she's washed up needs re-washing, so she can do it! I don't mind her cooking etc if she'd just clean up after herself properly. She can do it, she does it in school!!

    Already done today:
    Beds made
    Toilet bleached
    Bedrooms tidied
Massive to-do list written out (woke up this morning and all these jobs were just floating around in my head so I wrote them down while I remembered :D)
Bins emptied (bin men have just been so I'll go retrieve the wheelie bin in a minute)
DD's alarm clock taken apart broken glass removed and reassembled, glass thrown away

    Still to do:
    - Set up scanner and work out which laptop it wants to talk to today so I can scan in old documents I want to keep for reference but don't need the paper version. :D (Think benefit letters which prove how much etc at certain times)
    - Start purging papers etc, starting with condensing my DIY list so its in one notebook and not on 50million sheets of random paper :rotfl:
    - Update finances
    - Set up paper based table for bill tracking (trying to work out whether we're using more now or not) and shred actual bills unless from 2013/14!
    - Empty file box (which is my "to file" file and is bursting at the seams)
    - Empty magazine boxes of random stuff.
    - watch rental DVD (its a 15 so not for when DD is around) so it can be returned tomorrow.
    - Laundry, maybe ironing but no more than HH :p

Right, best go find the extension lead for the scanner and get my laptop up and running as well. I will make a big dent in this paperwork today. I might even end up with some empty folders if I really get stuck in ;)

See you all at 12.15 when I'll break for lunch!
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Hi, I'm going to start my first fly lady day today, doing the kitchen first is fine as it needs a good clean. Question: how do you put the daily task list into your own post? I am not very good with computers but am slowly learning.
    My extras to do:
Visit mum and make some phone calls for her
    Supermarket on way home
    15 min garden-watering-weeding
Clean mould off bathroom ceiling, going to do this in 15 min sections
    walk the dog

Will finish my coffee and hang out first load of washing
    Thank you for the welcomes

    Hello ladies,

Ginge has been moved to intensive care. It's a setback as he said a few words and ate and drank a little yesterday. Please keep him safe with flylady vibes and prayers.

My house is very empty without the children, unsurprisingly there is no mess or clutter.

Well that was an interesting 10 minutes. I was expecting A to arrive at about 5.00pm, so when the doorbell went and OH answered it I was still playing around with the laptop and not Flying because I am exhausted.

Fortunately, because Flyladies have taught me that nibbling away at a mammoth task will eventually produce results, my office was almost ready. All I had to do in the end was pull the futon out, put the (freshly washed) underblanket on it, slip the fitted sheet on, drop the freshly washed, dried, stored and aired pillows (already in their pillowcases) and duvet (ditto for cleanliness) already in its cover on the bed and open the window. Voila! Room ready.

Two years ago, that would have taken an hour because I would also have had to vacuum it, and clean the sink. And I would have had to traipse all over the house finding and carting all the bedding up there (from the settle in the dining room) or down (from the attic) which might have been a bit musty.

    This thread is a lifesaver!
    Better is good enough.

The care he will receive will be so much better and people DO come out of there regularly.. My mothers friend Phil was sedated for 3 weeks and is now home and while he needs another op he is well and home!!

Healing vibes for Ginge and hugs for yours and his families.. xx

OH minced the grass, I sent some returns back to Next.. sale stuff we don't fit in ;) OH appears to have grown!! The long length trousers are half mast and he is having to get the extra-long!! .. and a size bigger in the waist but we aren't mentioning that lol.. ;) .. at 6ft4 and a 36waist he still looks like a twig!

    Recycling out,
3.5 loads of washing out.. hoping it dries quick as I have another 1.5 loads ready to go out and 3 more loads to wash! I want to get my duvet cover in too seeing as one of the littlies dribbled juice on it.
Ebay parcel and school meals form posted.. DD1 popped round so I delegated that to her :p

Off to look at bicycles for Squeak shortly.. for her birthday :) I can't believe she is 4 in 2 weeks time!!! It seems like only minutes since she arrived! She has got so grown up and sensible.. not sure how that happened tbh!

OH is outside watching the girls in the paddling pool and Pixie playing in her pushchair.

Off to fling in the front room.. back soon xx

    /QUOTE]

    Hi and welcome Dottydaisy.
There are two ways - you can click "quote" on the post you want and then take out all the text you don't want - gets a bit much by end of the week!

    or

I usually go to the first post and highlight the current days list - sorry if you know this already -
    To highlight
left click so the flashing cursor is at the beginning of the first line you want to copy
click and hold the left mouse button then drag the mouse down so all that day's text is highlighted in blue.
Then on your keyboard hold down the control key + letter c and that copies the text into memory.
Then when you have started writing your post and want to put the text in there just do control key and v and it copies it wherever your cursor is positioned.

    Hope this helps.

Just had lunch and am trying to motivate self to have a shower - really horrid smelly dirty books to deal with this am at vol job 1 - if I wouldn't read them they don't go out!!!

Will catch up later - welcome newbies and returners. xx
