Being shouted at by a customer who came in at 11:40 pm on valentines and couldn't buy a card(sold out):wall:
Abuse from customers at 5 pm on x mas eve for not having crackers, seafood sauce, the wrong kind of prawn (yep go figure), Christmas cards and even a tree.
It only occurs every year lol.:
I have never understood this:
Christmas and Valentines Day are the same dates each year; so why do people leave it till the last minute?Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Anyway:
Why are there so many people who are unable to spell the name of their workplace? Over the course of my working life (indeed, as a student in the early days as you allude to), I have encountered hundreds of such examples. Indeed, a cursory glance across this very forums confirms the same. So, if it's not poor education, why?
What's the actual percentage then? There are millions in retail in the UK.
What about all the other people in other industries that spell in exactly then same way?
Oh by the way Richard Branson is dyslexic, are you going to have a go at him as well? Not exactly done bad for himself has he!
Such a simplistic view that from minor spelling mistakes you somehow seem to think all of a sudden you know a persons educational background. These days many people type from mobile devices, these obviously will make mistakes and people who just wanted to type a reply quickly might not have noticed. All the errors you've listed are minor ones which anyone could make regardless of their educational background.
The mere fact you assume everything with no fact to back it up eg your assumptions of spelling mistakes with people in retail rather than stating how many times similar occurrences of the same mistakes occur with people who work in other trades just shows your pure naivety to the assumptions you make.0 -
:rotfl::rotfl:
Wait a second... you have 2 degrees, you work in retail and you are looking at doing a 3rd degree to get in accounting (heard about those NVQs they are doing these days?).... ? What the hell were the other 2 degrees 4? To broaden your horizon? As Matt Damon said in Good Will Hunting, "you dropped 150 grand on an education you could have gotten 4 a dollar 50 in late fines at the public library"
Some people have more money than sense...
I suspect that they're either lying, or, like most graduates, their degrees are in pointless subjects like Argentinian history with applied tiddlywinks.0 -
Geerex - if you are going to criticise others for their poor grammar then please have the decency to check your own. The word highlighted in your quote should have been used without the letter s - singular rather than plural. Who looks stupid now
It's called autocompleeeeet. I've edited as best I can, but there is always some tragic no-lifer who cannot comprehend that simple mistakes are completely different to a fundamental lack of understanding as to the correct spelling of a word.
I even state the autocorrect errors on my edit reasons. You're a bit "special", aren't you?0 -

I've deliberately used an apostrophe, as many people would say, "I'm going to Tesco's' : the implication being 'to Tesco's store'.
Good thing you haven't got anything more to worry about.
You missed the point. It's over the PA, or in spoken conversation. "Welcome to Mataland", "I work for Tescos".
Read what other people are saying before you jump in and make a fool of yourself.0 -

Obviously your best editing isn't good enough as you missed a glaring grammatical error, even on a second attempt.
I do have a life - and a degree. Not a joke one. Done the hard way with no internet-lifted plagiarism before you try to belittle me.0 -

Any hoo back on topic....
Happens for everything easter with eggs.
People getting irate because they can't collect an item at 2 am.
I could go forever lol.
On the flip side I've had crappy days where I have been v snappy with customer services.
We're all human I guess.
Ps with or without a degree you can still be a moron. Just a further educated one.:rotfl:SIMPLY BE-££577.11:eek:
