What? Are you high?! I wrote a list of things that were said by you in the first four pages. This is a non-exhaustive list of things that I disagree with. Everything in this list I disagree with. If it is not in this list, then I may or may not disagree with it.
Where has this come from about MSE being a bad forum? I did not quote it, ergo you cannot assume that I disagree with it.
And if it's such a bad forum, I suggest you leave this forum and stop giving people wrong information.
Again, I did not post anything about you driving VAG cars in my list. I honestly don't understand why you mentioned this. Although, given how much I disagree with you, I will admit that I wouldn't be surprised if you were lying.
So you wouldnt be surpised if i were lying:rotfl: about driving avaerge motors? Silly.
Also why should I leave a forum just because its bad? I belong to good forums so have that need covered, do you n mg go to the same school of argueing about anything just because you can?0 -

Given that you seem to know nothing about heaters, I think it's justified.
And I'm not the one arguing. Please answer my questions. You are getting this completely wrong.
You said "You disagree that mse is a good forum?" and I said no, and asked you to quote where I said that. You did not. I also replied about the heater issue and the apparent "open goal" which I appeared to have missed (despite, using this analogy, scoring 6 goals). Finally, we are arguing about anything just because you keep on changing the subject!0 -

6? I only see two items in red.0 -
Aye hes deliberately trolling now as he doesnt want to have to agree with us, and admit he was wrong.
Sad really.TBH, I "gave-up" after page 1. Didn't see the need to constantly feed him.
I dont feature on page 10 -
Yes topdaddy, I can read. I've practiced it a lot in this thread...
You're on a phone? You might be able to read all of this better on a nice big screen.
I can't quote the OP saying the heating is on?
I'll paraphrase - the OP wants to stay warm and doesn't want the engine to shut off whilst doing this. The heater must be on if the OP is staying warm. How is it not? How can you be arguing that the OP never 'said' they had the heater on - they're trying to stay warm! The other two points you agree with me, well done, it is there in black and white afterall.
Yes, everyone said the same thing. You weren't the first. You might also note that everyone is saying one thing and you're saying another, maybe you should join the crowd.Just heaters dont work that way.
There are no heaters. I put it in caps last time. As you say, you WILL need the engine back on. Skadooosh! But we're talking about that bit IN BETWEEN the engine being on. THERE IS STILL HEAT. THAT is what everyone else is arguing with you about. Warm engine switches off, blowers still blow, warm air is blown, for a while, because it's still hanging around in the system.
Shielder - thanks for this para. Have a read topdaddy, please!
The heater matrix in this case is hot because of the engine coolant being pumped through it while the engine is running. After the stop start activates and turns the engine off, the water in the heater element stays hot and slowly transfers it's heat to the cold air being drawn in by the fans.0 -

because they never said it did they? And thats the point. You cant just decide to make things fit your arguement.
Yes, everyone said the same thing. You weren't the first:owhqts that mean? I havent claimed to be, just adding my own experience. You might also note that everyone is saying one thing and you're saying another, doesnt make em right:cool:maybe you should join the crowd.

Warm engine switches off, blowers still blow, warm(cooling air) air is blown, for a while, because it's still hanging around in the system.

What the OP acually said was,No reservations as such (although in the winter I do like the heater on whilst waiting to pick up the grandsons), it was just a discussion between hubby and me
Then addedI have to wait between 10 & 20 mins for them to come out of school and due to illness do not tolerate cold or getting chilled very well. I will add that I do feel guilty when keeping the engine running.
So yes they did say they have the heater on and was asking if it would still work when the stop/start was operative and the engine switched itself off, as they usually leave the engine running, but with the stop/start it would switch off.
For you to assume that the heater is not on, given these above statements is YOU trying to fit a scenario to your argument.0 -
Thanks for your input but...
I note from your replies that you're still harping on about the 'won't work unless the heater's turned on to start with' thing, in spite of my explanation in post #169 that in the case of many vehicles fitted with SS, that is not actually true.
I won't bother explaining again, but you can read it here:
