So what point are you trying to make?

That the engine will kick back in when it is needed?

    Who are you refering to?

I was hoping to see him say something like a heater solenoid is something that heats the water:rotfl:.

I wonder what his take on dual zone climate control in stop start car, oh wait that would be impossible now wouldn't it and im simply making the word up! :rotfl:

Cue TopDaddy "Ah but not if the heater wasnt on in the first place!! Ha ha. You're an idiot and i'm so really smart."

No, its not clear who he refers to, dont you get that? Afterall Ive said nothing about vehicles restarting only heater function.

So your are going off on a tangent also. Again, I made no mention of climate control, dual zone or other wise. Or solenoids...but have a non existant arguement if you want, maybe theyre the ones you would do well in:cool:

not if the heater isnt set to hot before the engine shut down
But, as advised, and referring to the original question (reminder - 'can I override Start/Stop because I sit with the engine running to keep myself warm'), the heater IS already set to hot. Ready to stand down after 135 posts or do we keep going?...

I was referring to you, but you seem to have deleted the post before mine that I was replying to? Unfortunately I didn't quote it since I thought that'd be unnecessary.

Well you have assumed it would be on heat(which is fair) but reread post 32. Mg has even forgotten I think. So I can expect your appology soon?

    uh huh.

And as i said back then - the car will restart if it cant keep the cabin at the temperature that the heater was set to OR if you subsequently move the heater setting.

The car will restart if it needs to make any adjustments to temperature that it cant do with the hot / warm / cold water in the heater matrix.

In your precise statement in post #32 you said you are in situations were you would want to keep the car idling for long periods where you would want to have the heater running. Stop Start will deal with that and keep the cabin at the temperature you wish or request. There is no need to switch it off.

    This isnt rocket science?

So what would anyone - other than you - need to apologise for? Telling it how it is?

What are you seeing happening that we are not, and why cant you reiterate that to us, rather than this game of dodgeball you're playing here?

I think the mods might have deleted it. Not sure why - it was neither your most offensive, nor most banal post.

Maybe they lost the will to live before they got round to removing the others?
