Sadly didn't make training this morning, barely slept last night and another very busy day! Got back to office at lunch and clients kids had half inched most of the sandwiches!!!! I was a little annoyed as we haven't got time to go out and get something and so just have to wolf it down and work and plus not leaving work until late (tonight was 8pm) somhaving hardly had any lunch was rubbish

4 more days. Have to keep going

Bonus is have spent nothing today as supper is from stores. I just get up and go for a run tomorrow as done no exercise since last Wednesday!!

I remain hating what I do. 8 more working says until holiday then I'll start thinking about maybe doing something else

    Hi lula,
Sorry to hear that work has been so difficult - my DH has been going through something similar. I really hope you can find something else, or some kind of solution, because it is horrible for you to have to feel like that.
    Sending hugs x

Thanks giblet. It's just so hard knowing what else I can do and so many things to take into account. I actually have quite a lot of monthly expenses which I can't really cut down and I need to earn a certain amount, at least if I'm going to stay where I'm living now.

I could pack it all back in and move back up to north west to be near family and then I could do whatever I liked. My parents have been v kind, they know I'm hating what I do and have said I can live in their holiday flat in Yorkshire if I want rent free and can have it as long as I want. I don't want to do that though as cat won't be happy he can't go out and also, they've worked hard to get what they have and they go up there for weekends and trips away and it's not fair that I would then prevent them doing that (although there are 2 bedrooms so they could still come up)

I think I just don't know what to do for the best

    Sounds really difficult :(

At least you know that option is always there? Maybe keep looking and see if anything interesting / suitable comes up, and if not you can take them up on the offer until you find something else when you really 'have' to for your sanity's sake? x

Thanks. I'm hoping that once this difficult time at work over I can at least give it proper thought

Just thoroughly fed up. Really can't wait for a break - perhaps I'll feel better then

Need to get back into running too - it's been weeks!

  • The only thing I can say Lula, is one we all come to change in our own time and two, I have been so much happier since leaving my job. I can't say I wish I had left it sooner exactly, although I could have done it a year sooner in all honesty. This year hasn't been easy but I have felt better in the tough times.

I don't have a hope of buying a house really and do have less money but am happier so don't waste it looking for happiness if that makes sense.

I feel better knowing I have given myself a chance to enjoy llife again.

well, didn't go for a run this morning as cat woke me up around 430am to go out and I couldn't then face getting up at 5 to go running. I am so annoyed as really want to get back into it as need a goal. So am going to pick a damn 10k in November (given I'm away for a lot of September) and really make sure I train!!!!

We've now finished evidence so we have until Thursday to prepare closings which is good but still a lot to do (she says posting on here).

Means no free lunch tomorrow but I've asked my secretary to put some sandwiches aside for me today as those pesky kids are back in our office eating them all!

So, should hopefully be a no spend day!

Sorry all I do is seem to moan right now. I am exhausted. Worked another 12 hour pretty non-stop day and didn't take lunch break. Big boss man getting at me even though I'm working hard. My hair is falling out due to stress. I just can't take this life any more

I trained this morning. B1tched and moaned the whole way through it which I'm sure wasn't pleasant for my trainer but I made it and do feel better

I've decided I have to take control and am going to have a crack at this masters after all. Yes it's 30 hours a week study on top of working full time but it's only for 9 months. Plus my gay best mate is away for 4 months from September so I'll be going out less anyway. I can also take holiday to do my study if necessary. This is the quickest way to give me options to decide what to pursue instead of sitting here rotting

I will probably have to stick at this job whilst I study but save as much as possible so that then if I do need to take any time out to pursue it I can do

I have to get back the control in my life!!!

Sending lots of positive wishes lula - sounds very difficult for you. Are you sure you can manage the full time job and course at the same time? I really hope so if it gives you more options; seeing it as a means to an end will hopefully help. I did something similar about 10 years ago (omg....I'm so old, lol) although mine was taught, and over 2 years whilst working full time. It was a pretty shocking amount of work tbh, but I don't regret it for a minute because it has made all the difference.
I really hope that's the same for you.
Don't forget to take time out to relax also (easy for me to say...)
Hopefully once this piece of work is done, it won't be as bad?
Well done on the training btw - very impressed x
