Hi lulabelle
you are obviously qualified and competent to do this job - and very conscientious too! If a very good friend was in your position what would your advice to them be?

Thanks FS. I guess I'd tell them to prepare as much as they could but at the end of the day, the judge has all the documents and the parties' legal arguments so there's probably very little you can do to change their mind now anyway - they're either "with you" or they're not!
Have been working since 1030 and it finally seems to be coming together. I think I feel ok about itI want to be a writer0 -
Oh, and my lovely gay best mate sent me a text yesterday around 430 asking how I was doing. I said I was ok but pretty stressed and he asked if I wanted some supper and I could go round to his. So bless him, he picked me up from work around 815 and plonked me on his sofa with a blanket and he cooked up a storm. We had some dim sum as a starter then he made some fillet steak, Yorkshire pud, sherried mushrooms(!), courgettes, sweet potato mash and asparagus. Then he'd got a lemon tart and some cheese (I didn't have any as was too full by then) and I had the tiniest mouthful of red wine (well maybe two) with dinner. I was so exhausted and I expect not my usual sparky self but that was so sweet and kind of him. He also texted me before to see how I was. I'm really lucky to have him. It's like having a boyfriend just without the sex (oh, so what I mean is it's like having a boyfriend after the honeymoon period!!) and the kissing/cuddles but he gets a bit cuddly when he's drunk anywayI want to be a writer0

Have to confess. Feeling a little bit down and lonely tonight. It's at times like this when I'm under a lot of stress and pressure I wish I had someone to cuddle up to and who could make me feel ok about thingsI want to be a writer0

So, about to go to work yet again. Will be 8 days without a break. Trial starts tomorrow. Sh1tting it. I always have an out of body experience for the first half hour or so, like it's not me making submissions. Should be ok once I settle in however. Biggest thing I've ever done. Guess I've got to step up to the plate someday as one day the senior partners will retire and it will have to be me picking up the big stuffI want to be a writer0

You'll be fine. You've done everything you can to prepare and you're good at your job. You'll be more than fine.

Echoing what Fortune says. Sounds like you are very capable. Just reading a link on Linkedin which says "act as if you are always in control".....
(I should follow my own advice. LOL).

Thanks guys. Am in process of writing an impact statement to kick off with tomorrow then will go in for 6am and work on a few other points I need to finalise/get straight in my head. I ended up after I had met with my clients for a couple of hours meeting my closest friends for coffee as felt I needed some human interaction that wasn't workI want to be a writer0
