so, I was a little naughty yesterday - didn't sleep too well and so didn't get up for a run as felt, given work so tough, would be better having the extra sleep.

I worked my backside off yesterday then was about to go home and my gay best mate called and said he was meeting some of our other friends and would I go for a drink.

2 wines and a takeaway later and I didn't sleep well last night and struggling a bit today although did get up for training this morning

on the eating front I had a protein shake for breakfast and was planning on being healthy but then got v hungry about 11 and had a piece of cake that was in the office

have home made lamb koftas for lunch which I griddled this morning and will have that with a bit of natural yoghurt then will try to eat healthy tonight - probably spice up a chicken breast with Cajun, griddle it and then have it with some asparagus. have also brought in some protein powder to have a protein shake if I get hungry later rather than stuff face (only bought one lot though so hence cake this am). thinking maybe I need to bring in a yoghurt or some cashews or something as clearly a shake after a workout is not enough

tonight will have night in and early night

oh and annoyingly got home last night to a penalty notice from hmrc for £880!!!!!!

Am paying it so time stops running but am appealing it because they wrote to me in dec 2013 saying they couldn't accept my return because there were remittance pages missing (I don't live in uk) and that I had until October to return them. They just put "October" not "October 2014" or "October 2013" but if a letter is dated December 2013 then it is reasonable to assume that a reference to them having to be returned by "October" can only mean "October 2014". I was thus blissfully unaware that I was racking up a penalty and once I got their penalty notice dated 3 june (which I only received on 26 june due to post) I sent the forms back immediately with a letter setting out why the confusion had arisen and asking if they would, n the circumstances, waive the penalty. they ignored that and just sent a penalty notice. I think that is out of order

Arghhhhh so got home and my fridge had decided to turn itself into a freezer and the chicken I was going to have for my tea is frozen solid!!! Having to resort to some pasta tossed in butter with some black pepper and Parmesan. Not the most healthy!!!!

Bonus is I've spent nothing today (other than my trainer this morning) and am going to get an early night.

Am really stressing about this trial now and exactly how to present the case. Should really still be working but has been 11 hour day as is and shattered. Hopefully I'll have some inspiration tomorrow when I'm a bit more refreshed

Settling down now with last nights holby city on catch ul

Well, I reckon I'm coming down with a virus or something as am just mega exhausted.

Spent 70p today on a crunchier. It's a dilemma isn't it: do I bulk buy from supermarket as cheaper but risk stuffing face or do I get ripped off when I have the urge? As Bridget jones says "tricky very tricky"

Other than that an ok day, just working !!!! off really and v stressed in the process!!

Trainer in morning though and pay day tomorrow - yay!

So, was a little naughty last night and ate a whole bag of aniseed twists (then felt sick!!). To be fair it was only a small bag as was the bonds one but then as if that wasn't greedy enough, polished them off with a strip of galaxy honeycomb!!!!

Went to bed at 930 and slept well but didn't want to get up at 540 for trainer but forced self. Killer of a session but feeling good even though shattered now!

Will take lunch in today then have cancelled on the meal out for tonight as don't want to drink and want an early night. Plus if I went would easily be £50 which I could do without spending.

Think I'll work until about 6 then get a take out (Thai though so pretty healthy) and either watch the good wife or the killing and get another early night

I now don't want to drink until first week of trial over so that I can work hard and stay focused. Plus it will do wonders for my bank balance and waistline!

So, I wrote a post yesterday and then managed to press something and it disappeared and I really couldn't be bothered to type it all out again!

I was a little naughty on Friday night. The sun was shining and it felt wrong to simply come home and sit by self so went for beers with friends. Only had 3 and didn't spend anything as they got rounds and by time it was my round everyone wanted to go home. So spend free but will be my round first next time obviously. Then went to take away and spent 10.50. Went to bed at 9 which was a bit of a waste

Yesterday I got up feeling ok but could feel I'd drunk a little. Had impromptu brunch with gay best mate so that was 16 I shouldn't have spent but was nice to spend some time with just him as has been a little while since we did that. Then ran round doing chores. Spent a fair bit but was all stuff I needed and had been putting off until I got paid

Stayed in last night and had left away takeover for tea and avoided booze!

Was meant to be on this mindfulness course this morning from 7am which had already paid for but I must have fallen back asleep when alarm went off as woke up at 9!!! Friend was going with now annoyed at me (to be fair she was going to go before I said I'd come anyway) and 48 down the drain. Bonus is I did have some extra sleep which really needed as it's now only 8 days until trial and it's going to be a long tough week.

Today am going to go into work for a few hours then bake some ginger cake with salted caramel icing and try to make a bit more progress on cleaning the lounge (I did a quarter of the skirting boards yesterday - washing them down and that) but it was all I could face!

Worked for a couple of hours but wasn't particularly focused. Just made ginger cake which is baking in the oven - can't wait for it to be ready! Will take some for gay best mate and trainer in the morning and will have it as my treat for working hard and working out this week
