I am very annoyed here, the cat, wee on the bed at 5.30am! he has a cat flap he can go and come as he pleases, it is not locked at night, and he knows this..............so duvet is now in WM, it just fitted in, but I am not sure how clean it will come out as I don't think it has much if any room to moved around in to get clean, may need to take it to the laundrette tomorrow and use one of their bigger machines.
So far, I have done the daily stuff as I am up

Hello, I've been reading your thread for a long time. I need help to get going on cleaning my tip of a house, been dithering so long with it I am overwhelmed by what needs to be done. I also need to be more money savvy as I have approx. £15,000 in debts which have accumulated over the years by having things now and not waiting to save up. I am retired, in my late 60's, and have two grown up daughters living with me. My ideal scenario would be to get the house looking ok, decorate everywhere, put it up for sale, probably 2016 and look for a retirement flat just for me. So, can I please join your thread and hopefully get my self better organised and a nice tidy, clean house.NSD 1/3,
My mantra is After I ....I will. eg After I make my morning coffee, I will take my medication. Eventually this will become a habit,0 -
Afternoon all
Going for a relatively lazy day here. Going to change the beds, do the ironing and potter about because DD has asked if she can do some baking again! She just made a chocolate swiss roll, I've never even attempted one :rotfl:I've told her she can cook & bake as much as she wants as long as she cleans up after herself and asks before she makes something (cupboards are looking somewhat bare when it comes to certain things lol). Going to get her making some pizza bases & pizza sauce to go in the freezerShe also wants to have a go at making a Brazilian dish I found on the internet which she loves. Its supposed to feed 5 when served with rice, it only fed me and DD when I made it as I forgot to cook the rice
I'm off to lick the bowl from the cake mix :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Healing vibes, Mumto5. I hope your daughter is coping okay; she must be beside herself. Strengthening vibes for her, too, and coping vibes for you.
Have a wonderful time, Dusty and the Kitten Clan. (Hmm, sounds like a good name for a band.) Bite-healing vibes for you and DS1, too.Dottydaisy wrote: »So, can I please join your thread and hopefully get my self better organised and a nice tidy, clean house.
Hi DottyD! Of course! And when you find the secret to a
'better organised and a nice tidy, clean house' please share it with me!
And welcome to you, Torianut. I knew there was someone else who'd joined in this week!
American cousin decluttered back to whence he came after a lovely flying visit. He was much more relaxed than I've ever seen him before, friendlier and laid back. His new wife obviously agrees with him.
Mr Nifter has moved out temporarily after vaccumming his room at 4.30am which didn't go down too well with my jet-lagged cousin! However, the room will be fine for the person who's moving in there tonight or tomorrow - I haven't decided who gets which room yet, but the one due this evening is having her boyf to stay for her birthday later in the week, so I'll probably give her the bigger room.
Mega-laundry shuffle is about to occur.
If anyone else wants to 'declare' their June/July Challenge, now would be good! I think I've got everyone who's mentioned achievements, but if not, when I post tonight, just let me know and I'll edit the entry.Better is good enough.0 -
I'm really just popping in to send more healing vibes for Ginge. I will continue to send them til Mumto5 lets us know he's ok. Coping vibes for the whole family also.
Doglets have been walked and fed; Mr LW is tackling the week's ironing, which is usually just his work clothes for the week plus any hankies; there was a matching skirt & top and a dress that I wanted ironed also, this time; I was going to do them when he'd done his stuff, but he's done them for me.:A I rarely iron any of my stuff, but these particular items do really need it.
We're having salad for dins yet again; I'm keeping it as interesting as I can by doing slightly different components each day; though Mr LW asked me to do pasta with mayonnaise and sultanas the same as yesterday, as he enjoyed it so much, but we've got cold Qu0rn sausages in place of cheese today.:o Lemon vegetarian jelly with pineapple pieces in for dessert.;) I've also kicked off a batch of 'nana ice cream; Mr LW loves this.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Puts hand up for 'nana ice cream.
We've been to the "pictures" to see Pudsey.
Ds2 has cried with a headache since we got back.
Not much done apart from dailies sorry.0 -

Hi everyone...
after all my grand promises last week I failed miserably at anything resembling flylady!
This week will be the week!
However, I ate TWO MASSIVE FROGS!!! :j:beer::T
Sorted out and rearranged and organised the whole spare room (office/library/animal shelter haha) - I totally pulled everything out and nothing has gone back in until it has been sorted through and confirmed not CARP! teehee
This was very motivational as it was all in the lounge so was cluttered and horrible all week - partly why couldn't do anything in there anyway!
Related to that is my other frog, my paperwork mountain! Finally sorted through and got rid of a whole bin bag just of old paperwork and rubbish that I was keeping for no reason. Had a huge knock on effect as freed up big storage boxes so I now have them in their intended use as Christmas and Present boxes, and so on.
So actually feeling quite pleased with myself!
I do now have another new task which is to sort through the random "stuff" which I've got on the sofa I don't usually sit on... it's kind of the byproduct which are leftover from the spare room task... you know the stuff you don't necessarily need but don't really want to chuck out... that will be my frog this week!
I'm up to date on washing etc, and am on early shifts this week which means a 3.30 finish. Makes all the difference for keeping the house up together so I want to have a really good crack at it this week as after all the back problems it's quite frankly, disgusting:(
Hope you've all had a good week
