Thinking of you and your extended family, Mumto5 and hoping that this morning brings some postives.
I know I said I loved bats but I'm not entirely sure I love them quite so much when one of them is zooming around our bedroom at 3.00 am. Mrs Dog slept through the ensuing drama until Devil Cat, who thought all of his Christmases had come at once, banged the radiator with his bird-gazing table in his effort to gain a little height and woke her up. Devil Cat is still vey edgey.Better is good enough.0 -

Sorry I got my Mum of 5s mixed up - I should have said Mumto5The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning all
It is muggy here today and wet, glad nearly all my holiday washing is done. Only bits left are towels and whites which we are not taking.
Oodles to do here today but DS1 and DS2 have just about packed, DS3 raring to get his done next, DH will do his own so I need only worry about my stuff and all the random bits.
Best get a move on. Hoping the antibiotics kick in by bedtime.
Fizz - thanks for recommending the soltan facecream - I love it!The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Somewhat belatedly adding my vibes; hope there is good news soon x
Hugely busy day yesterday the summer fair then a night out to say farewell to a colleague.
Got in around 1:30; I was driving; took two home then picked DS usp from work.
raining here so washing can't go out; it's 'close' though (=muggy)
Just TWO work days to go! I am now a full redhead - as opposed to salt-and-pepper!

Thank you ladies sadly his injuries are still being discovered. He's in an induced coma. It's very frightening.
Healing vibes heading his way, and coping vibes for the whole extended family.
I was woken up at 3.30am by lightening. All I could hear was a low constant rumble of thunder with the odd louder bit and the rain was most pathetic! Complete waste of time actually getting out of bed to watch it! However I couldn't get back to sleep and at 5am I decided to get up
By 6am I was washed, dressed, my bedroom tidy including making the bed, my windows open with blinds back to let in the fresher feeling air, the kitchen tidied including putting clean dishes away, a wash load done and I'd eaten breakfast! By 8am I'd also tided the livingroom, washed the throws and they were in the drier, cashed up for work, and charged my phone :rotfl: Dragged DD out of bed at 8am and nagged her into washing up (her one not-her-bedroom chore!) and finishing her homework while I vacuumed the sofas, put the throws back on, then vacuumed right through downstairs and re-laced my trainers.
DD went out about 10.30am with ex, so I printed her homework for her that she finished just as he pulled up outside.
Monday
Sort to-do list for the DIY, - virtually done, just a couple of things left to do.
Write priority DIY shopping list (livingroom, lining paper) - sort of done. Having to recalculate some things.

Glad the sunscreen is working well for you Dusty, just don't get it in your eye, it stings like billyo! Hope your ABx do the trick on the nasty bite.
The rain here has been horrendous, walked from the driver's door to the boot to get my brolly and I got soaked, it was like being in a shower.
Have shuffled laundry and I'm about to cook dinner for lunch, as I'm hank marvinwatching the Open and enjoying the skid-free P&Q.
