  • Thanks for your good wishes guys, think it was a horsefly, I'll go to OOS in the morning if need be. But stop worrying about me I need you to send all your vibes to Mummyy5's DD's Boyfriend. He has been in a terrible accident and airlifted to hospital. He is much loved by them all and you made such a difference with Ed.

From me too - in my thoughts xx

Healing vibes for Mummy5's DD's boyfriend. I forget how lucky I am sometimes, and accidents remind me not to take anything for granted. I found the pharmacist very helpful, Dusty, with the swelling bites and I think I should have gone 24 hours earlier. She said they were getting a lot more people in with reactions from bites this year.

Mrs Dog thanks Auntie Wolfy for the cuddles, licks and tailwags - she's very polite.

Six boxes of gibble decluttered, but not to the Hospice CS as planned. For the second time in two weeks they were unable to take donations because they are bulging at the seams with stuff which was disconcerting for me, but good for them. However, there was a British Heart Foundation donation bin in a recycling area behind the local shops, so that's now crammed full with my stuff.

Cheapo lampshade found in Valli's bargainacious family shop, which I will cover with deep blue fabric from the valence I am going to chop up for cushions and little curtain. I have a nifty tin of 505 spray for patchworking which I think will make life fairly easy. I simply cannot find a plain dark blue lampshade anywhere and the room is too small to introduce other colours or patterns.

An American cousin phoned unexpectedly and is over here on a (flying!) Air National Guard posting, and has invited himself to lunch on Sunday. Mega-expensvie organic leg of lamb and Jersey Royals decluttered from Sainsbobs, followed by cherries for pudding. Hope the weather's not too hot but he's from the mid-West so our 'too hot' will be a mild summers day for him anyway.

Bathroom s/and/s'd. I am hot and sticky. Boo! OH is home. Hurrah!
    Better is good enough.

They are mains controlled :( I even tried turning all the electrics off at the mains, as told by the bloke on the phone, they carried on going off.
I'm a bit weary about fiddling with them, the housing association get a bit funny about certain things :(

Thank you ladies sadly his injuries are still being discovered. He's in an induced coma. It's very frightening.

Sorry to hear about his accident. Positive vibes on their way xx

I have been missing but flying. OH has a few days off work. Ds1 is back from his trip. Paint work washed down in kitchen, hall and living room. Radiators washed in these rooms. Shed swept. New table and chairs purchased from I--a. Old chairs taken to the tip. Table is now in storage upstairs in the shed.

We have also been out looking for a new (to us) car.

OH has been quite horrid too.
