Perhaps it's a good thing you can't see the orange-and-red dress I have on today. Garish doesn't even begin to describe it!:rotfl:

Three more items thrown on the CS pile. I'd put the six boxes on the landing towards the top of the stairs last night, stacked alternately because the cardboard ones don't have lids. Mrs Dog 'collects' strokes by running along things - a sign of her previous deprivation I think - and managed to topple the lot as I was coming up the stairs. Nothing broken, thank goodness, but I have dents in me where various things went flying.
Ouchy - hope you're not too bruised, HB. Give Mrs Dog a cuddle from Aunty Wolfy; and Bailey & Cassie send her a lick and a tail-wag also.:o
Ah feeling grimmer by the minute. Ankle is getting blooming worse. I'll take yet more anti Hs and have a shower, standing washing up probably didn't help.
*Wonders if a visit to the GP is in the offing for our Dusty....* Do you know what got you? I've had a horse-fly bite that came up like that, some years back - bloomin' nasty. Healing vibes on way.

Weekly finance back-ups all done; and I've transferred the pics of Jessie Labrador and of Bailey & Cassie onto the photo album flash drive.
First grooming session of the day also done; I need to vacuum, but with these two here, it's a two-person job, really - one to entertain them outside, the other to vacuum while they're out of the way. It's also w-a-y too hot to muck about with the vacuum just now; I'll end up melting into a little puddle if I try it, I reckon!:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Nicki - thanks - I won't use it on our garden only on the paving but as I am "responsible" for the empty property next door will try it on that - have loads of dishwasher salt ready for the icy winter we didn't have - do you think that would that do?

I have no idea sorry.:o I can't even remember where I read it but it does work. It takes about a day or two, then the weeds start dying off. The ones I salted on Sunday are all dead, now I just need to do the tops of the walls & I might just 'accidentally' drop some over into next doors yard. The weeds in there are taller than the wall and the seeds are blowing into my yarden

Instead of sitting reading my magazines I've been reading up on ways to earn money online :o Going to grab my magazines now and read them until DD gets home. She's on a trip with choir this afternoon but I'm assuming they'd be home normal time as I didn't hear any differently :rotfl: The workmen over the road are painting the outside of the house and have their radio on. Its lovely and relaxing listening to it :D The peace will soon be shattered though when the kids get out from school around about now and they all start bombing it up and down the road.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Afternoon everyone - this is early for me on a Friday but been so busy needed a HH sit-down and read of the paper.

We have had HH amazing sttorm. All awake and my ankle so swollen so just downstairs with ice and bemused mogs, Will be tired tomorrow.
Wondering if it was a horse fly - nasty - or even a tic - VERY nasty. Suggest you take yourself to chemist's pharmacy and get them to have a look if it gets worse/isn't any better tomorrow - I've had both and usually need some treatment. Hope you soon better.

Thanks for your good wishes guys, think it was a horsefly, I'll go to OOS in the morning if need be. But stop worrying about me I need you to send all your vibes to Mummyy5's DD's Boyfriend. He has been in a terrible accident and airlifted to hospital. He is much loved by them all and you made such a difference with Ed.

I've had a horrible afternoon. My friend came for coffee which was good but half hour after he left my smoke alarms went off.
They have now been going off every 10 minutes since about 2pm :mad: I phone the housing association to be told someone would come out on Tuesday!!:eek:
After half an hour I phoned again, I also got my H.A neighbours to phone and complain too. I was then told someone would try to come out this afternoon  Private home owners from the other side came round to see what was going on :o I phoned again at 4.45 told them the neighbours had been round and to check someone would be coming as I was worried with it being Friday. I was told as an "emergency" call they had up to 4 hours so someone would be out by 7pm :eek::mad:
It's now going off every 5-10 mins, DD1, her boyfriend and myself are taking turns pressing and holding the reset button.
Obviously I've done no housework cos I'm really not in the mood, I'm hot, headachey and a bit peed off :(
