Hope you sit next to nice peopel! We are all together, 2 behind 2 and 1 across in the aisle - we all like aisle seats so maximised taking into account DS3 will not sit next to a stranger and will not sit away from an aisle DS1 won't care where he is.
Nor would I want to sit next to a stranger - that'd be me having a panic attack, for sure! We don't fly these days - too much of a faff with a wheelchair. We used Pee and Oh ferries this year, and they were brilliant - arranged to have us park right near the lift, and a crew member made sure I got first dibs on the lift - he told the lazy able-bodied who were pushing in front to "let the lady in the wheelchair through - she actually needs the lift" :D:T

HB I'm throwing in the towel on the June/July challenge. I don't stand a cat's chance in hell of completing it, and it's just another stressor worrying about it.:( I'll still be around to offer you back-up in administering it, though.:o

I have the two Hairy Hooligans here; they are very time-consuming, but such lovely dogs. It's their sixth stay with us! Bailey's feeling his age a bit - he's 12 - and moulting enough on a daily basis to fill a cushion! Cassie still has more energy than anyone has a right to.:D

Mr LW saw the Surgeon yesterday, and was told his hernia is "large" whatever that means.:( Anyways, surgery is scheduled for 5th August; they hope he'll be home same day, but it's not guaranteed, so I'll wear a kaftan that day, which I should be able to scrabble out of unaided to go to bed.:D I'll go along with him and bring the car home, and wait to hear when I can pick him up, as he's been told he won't be able to drive for a week. Note to self - MUST get in some driving practise, I haven't driven for months and months!
Apparently he'll get to meet with the anaesthetist (sp?) before the surgery date, so he can tidy up all the details of what to take with him, what to do about his daily meds etc, then. I assume he'll need to take an overnight bag of some sort to be safe - we fetched a pair of pj's out of the loft and ironed them at the weekend, so as to be ready.:D
Luckily I have Jessie Labradoodle staying at that time; she's a new client, but she's turned out to be very easy to look after. She's also got a good, deep bark, so I'll feel safe if he does need to be in overnight.:o

I don't seem to have achieved much today. I've made "strubarb" crumble, and a quiche, and some yogurt, (and done all the associated washing up) and spent a-g-e-s grooming the Hooligans and entertaining them in the garden, but that's about it. Not very impressive! But it's too darned hot to rush about - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Mrs MP I hope your MiL is feeling better than she was, and that her procedure goes well for her.

Posi-vibes to all who need them today - sorry, my brain's just crashed.:rotfl:

i do hope things go as smoothly as they can for MrLW and that you don't get too much extra going on to stress you. make sure you stock up on change for hospital parking and find out which entrance is nearest to where you need so you can get the nearest car park;)

LW: Thinking of you and MrLW - also wish Mrs MP's mil all the best.

Everything finished bar the kitchen table, and I have showered. Time to sit down briefly in the garden before making dinner.

    Thanks for having me!

Golly Lamewolf, no-one wants you stressed, that's not what the Challenge is about! There are aspects of mine that won't be achieved and I haven't even got the energy to fret about it!

I've pulled one of the letting rooms into some kind of order, tidied the kitchen, decluttered OH to the station and that's about it.

I got bitten by something and for some reason the swelling has been horrendous. 36 hours after I started on P!r!ton it still hasn't gone down completely and one of the side effects is tiredness .... ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz
    Better is good enough.

Asking for a cup of tea is deffo a good sign.;)

No worries re hospital parking - 'tis free, as it's a private clinic.:T Being paid for by Mr LW's work health plan, he just has to pay a £100 excess, which we figure is worth it to get him sorted out quickly.
We did a drive-by the other day so that I could see the route, and there are blue badge spaces a-plenty, too.:o

OMG - I hope it goes down quickly.
I can't take P!r!ton; the one time I was given i I was literally unconscious for best part of 48 hours.:(

Mr LW's on his way home - via @ldi as we're nearly out of milk again.:D

lamewolf the challenge is supposed to be motivating and fun, if it's doing neither for you then of course you need to ditch it! Completely with you on that one, you have got enough on your plate at the moment.

I've sent the list to Honey Bear in case anyone wants to continue. I won't be offended if we drop it!

Ladies, I'm going to bow out for a few weeks. It will be only temporary, but I'm just completely frazzled. I have *finished* work bar a few last messages! but still. I had some sad news about an old colleague of mine, a young woman who I was very good friends with, who lost her fight with cancer yesterday. And given the other sad news I've been hearing lately I'm just at the point where I don't know how much more I can take.

So I'm powering down for a little while, to recharge. I will be back next month xxx

Huge hugs Bossy. I, for one, will miss you while you take time out. I'm so sorry about the news.

    Have a lovely holiday.

Hugs Bossy. You seem like a very courageous person and your posts are always upbeat and cheerful even though we all know life hasnt been kind to you. Looking forward to having you back around here when it feels right.

Been to hospital today with DS1 which was fairly positive for once. The decision about growth hormones has yet to be made (daily injections if we do go down that road) but it all seems a bit clearer now.

Cricket cancelled because its pouring down so I have done an hours paid stuff. Off to sort the kitchen now then might get a bit of feet up time before bed.
