Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning all :D

Hugs, sticks, spoons & vibes to all! I tried catching up but nothing has stuck in my head :o

Not looking forward to work tonight. According to the weather forecast it'll be 24C and sunny! I've told DD we need to start as close to 6pm as possible because we're going to have to split the trips up more than usual. There is no way we can carry the amount we normally carry in that temperature! I also have bottles of water chilling in the fridge for us to drink inbetween trips. I don't do hot weather :(

This morning I've got to run to Mr A as I discovered last night we've run out of printer paper, also need to pick up a few grocery bits. I was going to make a brazilian dish for tea, but now I'm thinking more of a cold pasta salad which I can prepare this afternoon. I have bills to pay later and I need to do some laundry when I get back from Mr A.

    Monday
Sort to-do list for the DIY, - virtually done, just a couple of things left to do.
Write priority DIY shopping list (livingroom, lining paper) - sort of done. Having to recalculate some things.
    [STRIKE] Laundry [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE] Ironing[/STRIKE]
    Dust
Update finances - was done, but bill paying means I need to do it again!

    Tuesday:)

    Wednesday

    [STRIKE] - Returns[/STRIKE]
    - Prepare books - almost done. I need to go buy paper to print the newsletters on!
[STRIKE] - Forms as required (Only doing what I need, others can wait until DD declares she's bored ;):rotfl:)
    [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]- Calling cards for tomorrow[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE] - Change bags [/STRIKE]

    Thursday
    Mr A
    Return DVD
    Laundry x3
Newsletters in books ready for work.
    Box of books
    Pay CT, CC x2
    Charge phone
    Tea - pasta salad
    Vacuum through downstairs again!

Right, I best get moving. I had hoped to be back from Mr A by now :o
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

    morning all

Bossy massive and supporting hugs for you and yours. I hope the holiday recharges your batteries and you know we will all be thinking of you and the little moos and wishing you well. Return when you are ready.
my sister sent this to me the other day when i was on a low ebb and i'd like to share it with you and anyone else who needs it.

I said a prayer for you today,
And know God must have heard,
I felt the answer in my heart although He spoke no word
I didn't ask for wealth or fame
    I knew you wouldn't mind
I asked Him to send treasures of a far more lasting kind
I asked that He'd be near you at the start of each new day
To grant you health and blessings
And friends to share your way
I asked for happiness in all things great and small,
But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all

Suggest that you keep some lemon in the fridge and next time you get bitten rub it on until it stops itching. I always get horrible reactions to bites but find that helps enormously :)

I'll definitely try that, so thank you Lynne. Dusty, healing vibes for your ankle. I've never had to deal with this before, so I totally underestimated it. Never again, especially after Jazee's comment about it taking a year to fully resolve. Yikes.

Kitchen floor swabbed, gibble tidied away all over the place and Ebay buyer has messaged me to come and collect her 99p bargain! Excellent - another box sorted and disposed of.
    Better is good enough.

    June/ July Challenge

Bossy has handed over the Master List, and as next week is the final full week of July, I was wondering if we'd like to round it up then? I'm considering it a successful if I made any progress at all on any of the Goals I set myself because they were all long term Froglettes that I had been unable to progress in any way.

Knowing that there are some that need a lot longer to deal with successfully has taught me that I under-estimate the amount of time it takes to achieve things, and over-estimate the amount of time I can devote to 'Specials.' I find knowing that helpful, so that the most successful thing that came out of it for me.

If Challenge Updates can be in Blue, or with a Heading that would help me enormously, but I do read everyone's posts.
    Better is good enough.

Everyone fed, watered and deposited at relevant places.

Squeak has her leavers assembly at church at 11am .. She's not been there 5 minutes!

Moomin hates the high school... how do I work with this one???? She has friends moving up with her but she hates it and is begging to not do transition week (last week) or finish the summer school (this week) ... I don't know what she doesn't like but she is so miserable and she doesn't even start until September!!! I know she is in lots of pain with all the walking they are doing but she is refusing to take any meds for it.. I think I need to speak to the consultant about the level of pain she is in and refuse to leave until something is sorted other than the 'give her calpol' .. seriously!!!

DD3 is going to strip the beds and get those remade.

We are going to sort her clothes this afternoon whether she likes it or not..

and.. my pretty knitting which I pulled out 2/3rds of (3 days work) is almost back to the place I pulled it out at.. I can then make progress.. :)

DD1's OH is getting a crochet hook roll for Christmas.. I am going to find some suitable fabric and crack out the sewing machine! and I will get him some wool to go with it.. DS1 is getting a hand knitted jumper.. it only took 3 weeks to do OH's so his won't take too long I'm sure.

Right.. cuppa finished.. Off to get Henry out for a walk.. :) and boss DD3 with the aid of a binbag (for rubbish) and a basket (for laundry) and a box (for clothes)

  • Hi again - don't fret about a No Task Thursday folks - Dusty must be up to her eyes in "stuff" and ankle scratching at the same time just can't be fun. I have found aloe vera gel to be soothing if you have any in Dusty?

I am just glad for a day to catch up on my own lists - and will do the bathroom walls and floor after my lists are completed. Then I need some of Pigpen's boundless motivation as I head for DH domain - the garage - wish me luck!!!!
