  • Thank you for the warm welcome :)

    Today's food:

Brunch: fruit and fibre with milk and a banana, pear. (HEA and HEB)
Dinner: plain pasta with a sort of stir fry consisting of tomatoes, onions, beans, peas, carrots, green and yellow pepper and chicken. (I just chucked it all in and hoped for the best - it was quite nice!)
    Drinks: water
Snacks: fruit, curly wurly (6) and cheese and onion crisps (6.5)

    12.5 syns.

I'm feeling quite rotten about the crisps and choc even though the syns allow it... This was always my weak point. I'd fall off the wagon and feel so bad that I'd give up. Feeling like I've made a mistake..
I feel as though this can't possibly be right but knowing myself, if I don't use those syns for a treat, I'll have a binge. End result is lots of confusion lol. Sorry if that doesn't make sense.

EDIT: another Pepsi Max addict here!
  • Just catching up with the thread since the weekend. So sorry to hear your news Beanie my lovely. Big hugs Xx

Well done to all those who have lost and those who haven't but are plodding on anyway. Hope your teeth feel better soon Frogga. Welcome to all the newbies!

I wasn't on plan much last week and that resulted in a 3lb gain at WI yesterday :o. I've made peace with that and I'm ready to start again. Today has been completely on plan.

My Consultant posted a fab image on our facebook page which said "Don't give up now because if you do you will be back where you started, and when you started you were desperate to be where you are now". It made a lot of sense and instead of me whinging that I was almost at 3 stone and now I'm 'only' at 2 and a half, I'm proud of being at 2 and a half stone off.

P.S I absolutely LOVE Cherry Pepsi Max!

Rosierosebud on my first couple of weeks I found it hard to believe that I could still have the treats and lose weight. Don't worry about the crisps. The main thing is that they were within your 15 syns allowance. The plan does work if you stick to it and having the treats is what helps you to stick to it. You will see that you could have a bag of crisps every day and still lose weight if you stuck to the plan 100%.

I was off plan last week as I had my period and was eating all manner of junk. So this week I maintained - I'm not worried about no losses. I'm back on plan now. I think I'll take one week off a month.

Sending you hugs tazzy. It sounds like you have to take some time to look at your business and your life and think about how you want to go forward. Do you really want to work 7 days a week? Is your business worth that much to you. If not, you should think of the changes you could make. Good luck. xxx

Sending you a big hug taz, sounds like you need one. Everything seems a bit of a mess for you at the moment. I'd just take a day at a time and stick to SW so, at least, you'll be in control of something. It always makes me feel better.

I've been MIA the last couple of days, enjoying some delish off-plan lunches with friends. Another planned for Friday but tomorrow I'm going to be saintly.:D

At group last week (couldn't stay this week) they were talking about making sure you weigh and measure the things you need to as it's easy to go overboard.

I've been guessing my branflakes so I weighed this morning and found out I've been really stingy! Might explain why I've been getting more hungry towards lunchtime than the early weeks when I always weighed them.

Rosie, you are doing perfectly fine with your syns, that's the whole point of them - you can have some of the things you like but restrict them so you aren't having a blowout. I guess it's supposed to teach us longterm that you can have a little of what you fancy!

Branflakes for breakfast, veg casserole for lunch, we've already decided on no dinner and just sleeping if possible. Not ideal but my baby was a nightmare last night and we couldn't get him down until gone midnight. I get such broken sleep anyway that I can't handle late nights like that. Today my toddler is in nursery so I can plan in a nap :j
