Saw a good recipe in Sainsbury's Magazine (freebie) for roasted chickpeas. Basically, it's a tin of drained chickpeas dusted with various spices then crisped up in the oven. Would make a good alternative to peanuts if you're prone to snacking or taking to cinema etc. I remember having something similar on holiday in Egypt. Can post exact recipe if anyone's interested. :)

    Yes please xx
  • Hi, I've been on here for ever but did not know there was a SW thread:j
I joined SW in April and have lot 21lbs I want to lose another stone but it's tough I'm 52 with a really busy life (well who doen't have one of those!) and I do want to get to goal. My goal gives me a BMI of 25 which is where I want to be. I'm debt free apart from the mortgage but money is tight so I'd like to join in for an added boost to see of these 14lbs of blubber.
I tend to drink my syns
    LBM- finally kicked in 16/12/08 @ [strike]£41,862 [/strike] £0.00/ DFD- 24/12/13 :D

Hi Annie - thanks for sorting chart. Sorry to be a pita but I have lost a total of 3lbs since starting this challenge (+0.5, -1, -1.5 and -1). Think I will be really struggling to hit target this time around even though I'm really trying. Weight loss has really slowed up since I have been poorly even though I am sticking to plan and activity has got back to normal.

Just had some lo mushy pea curry with some chicken, a large portion of mixed veggies (DH called it a medley - that's his chef's speak) and some boiled potatoes. Found myself stuffing the potato in and eventually caught onto what I was doing and left the rest to be thrown out. Followed that lot with some strawberries and yoghurt.

Found out at class last week that there is a wrap from Asda that can be used as hexb. People said that this can be put in the oven to crisp a bit and then used as pizza base for free tomato, veggies, meat etc and even a hexa of cheese. Has anyone given this a go and how successful was it. I think the wrap might be in the gluten free range.

Weigh in tomorrow night for me. Will try to keep syns low through the week as we are going to funeral on Thursday and just been invited back afterwards for funeral tea and then on a much brighter note we are off to a wedding on Friday (day do and night do). Thinking about offering to drive then alcohol won't be an issue and I would much prefer naughty things to eat than alcohol - I know I'm very strange :D

A huge pat on the back Mrs. R on completing your walk. Looking back you must be really pleased with how far you have come. You have every right to feel proud of yourself. xx

    Hugs frogga :hello:

oh no! I forgot to report my loss on Saturday.

Annie if its not to late I lost 3lb. If it is I will add it on to next weeks.

Re hubbies who will not get on board with SW. Mine twists on but luckily eats what he is given. Because he knows if he does not eat it he will not get anything else unless he makes it himself. As hard as it may be I would implement that rule.

    EE day for me today.

Breakfast - 2 x wheatbix, skimmed milk, activia 0 fat yoghurt, watermelon
Lunch - apple and banana ( was working )
Tea - Meal out at Harvester - salad from salad bar, chicken, jacket, fruit salad with ice cream

    Snacks - watermelon, mugshot

Syns - ice cream 5, salad dressing 1, piri piri sauce 1 - TOTAL 7

    Evening all,

Gosh this thread moves fast. annie my goal is 7 lb by the end of August. Hope I've got that right.
I've totally forgot names and details but hugs for the fed ups.

I've been busy setting up my new room/ office/craft room. I love it.
My first job is to create a Home Management folder. I'm sick of having bits of information spread out here, there and everywhere so I'm getting things in order
Going to have a section for budgeting, household so cleaning, to do lists, projects etc, Christmas and birthday section, daily weekly monthly, spring and summer to and exercise health and diet.
I'm also planning on getting a Filofax with a calendar so I can plan better. I will be organised lol
I'm hoping to run a business from home as well so fingers crossed everything will be better planned.
Food wise today I've not been totally on plan.
Breakfast was a quick couple of toasts with marmalade.
Lunch was two halfs of sandwich with a bowl of soup as we were out
    Dinner chicken salad.
I've not gone bad but not been spot on either. I find the week days so much easier than weekend. Oh well.
Anyway I'm shattered, sleep well all x

So you have, just looked back through posts so one has been missed, easily done as you are posting small and in blue. bless you've worked hard for it so want to see it on the chart, add a 1lb to next weeks loss and post it big and in red so Annie can see it.
sorry you are struggling , its disappointing when the loss slows up and important to remember it is a loss and we will all get there eventually. As dear beanie says keep on ploding.b_e_g[/QUOte

Hi, I've been on here for ever....
I tend to drink my syns

    Me, too.:(

I'm doing my best at the moment and staying in target range but I know if I want to lose (I'd prefer to be lower in my range) I'll have to be firmer with myself. This week's going to go pear shaped on Tuesday and Wednesday with two meals out. At the moment I'm just going to use dear Beanie's 'keep plodding' mantra. I'm eating SW when I'm home and in control.
