    Morning all

Went to group last night and lost a massive for me 5lb so chuffed. I did the SAS log and this really worked for me. Also I hit my 1 stone last night as well

    B - Peaches and satsumas
L- Cous cous, ham and salad (just checked at the Cous Cous I bought earlier this week is 5 Syns EEK)
D - Mushy pea chicken curry

planned snacks are banana. cucumber, celery and a mint club (5 or 6 syns).

Also could someone please explain how the slimmer of the week is chosen?

HEX A and HEX B I might have a nice cheese roll later.

Well done on the losses and welcome to the new SW members!

Have just been and done a massive shop, probably did not buy enough veg though. I'm going to have a go at making a curry for tea tonight. Never done one but I'm sure I can produce something edible!

    Hi All,

Can I ask a (possibly) daft question ?

How does sweetener fit in to the plan ? - is it all "free" or does it depend on the brand of sweetener etc. ?

All sweeteners are free. Not a daft question at all, better to know than do the wrong thing.

SoW is the person who's lost most weight that week but you have to have had a loss (or I think STS) the week before. I think it's to stop people winning who had a big gain then lost it quickly which can often happen. Sometimes it goes to the greatest loser that's stayed to Image Therapy as if the prize is a fruit basket it's difficult if someone's not there.

I used charity shops quite a lot when I was getting to target plus a few cheap bits from places like Asda and Matalan. It started me off experimenting with colours too as I didn't feel I needed to cover up in black from head to toe any more.

    Not sure what's happening today.

    EE plan so far:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB Shreddies, HEA milk
L: plenty of LO veg so easy choice there
D: may be out but otherwise it'll be SW spaghetti Bolognese from the freezer
Syns: possible scrape of Parmesan (may get away with it in HEA)

    Morning all,

Elona I also had to buy new bras this week. I'm down from a 38E to a 36DD although the cup is a fraction too big but the D cup is a smidge too tight, just cheapy ones from Asda as I will need to buy new soon.
I'm another one who does charity shops to keep me going. I've gone from a size 18 if I'm honest bottom:o to a 14/16 depending on the make and a 14/12 top depending if the arms are tight.
I think I may be the only person in the world to get to goal who still has fat arms arghh I hate em.
Today I'm planning on re measuring myself to see what inches I've lost. It's really important to stay motivated for me. People start saying you look good do you need to lose much more, my mum in particular and I don't want to do what I did last time and start going in the other direction. I will get to 10.7 this time. I'm determined.
    My food diary for today

French toast with a drop of maple syrup (2 syns)
    Chicken salad for lunch
Chickpea curry for tea with rice and diet orange
Extra syns will be pink and white Jamie's (3syns) and I'm planning to eat the two pears left in the fruit bowl.

    Enjoy your day x

joe Denise can I ask how you make the sweet souffl! omelette
    Tia
    Have a great day x

No probs Julie - separate eggs into 2 bowls. Whisk the egg whites until light and fluffy (they don't want to be stiff like you'd do for megingues!), lightly wish the yolks and then whisk into the whites.

Pour into a heated frypan and cook in the same way as a normal omlette. If you want to do a sweet omlette and have with fruit whisk some sweetner in when you whisk the whites & eggs together.

Had a 0.5lb gain this week but not really unexpected, and still 1lb under target.

    Yet another EE day today:

B - tasters at Group this morning after WI - made a change from a banana:rotfl:
L - LO sweet chilli prawn noodles, stuffed mushroom with a little cheese (part of HEA)
D - Baked salmon with chilli parmesan polenta

HEA - milk + little cheese
HEB - not sure, may have some Ryvita later
Snacks: some or all of the following: grapes, banana, strawberries, apple
    Syns: Tasters 2? polenta 4.5; parmasan 2; glass cider 4.5 = 13

SW is making me cook from scratch a lot more which is really good. I used to at least once a week make something that would normally feed us for 3 nights. Problem was the other nights when we'd have something out the freezer with chips and veg, or pizza, or something else not so healthy.

The issue I've got now is that I don't do recipes. Never have, don't like being told what to do! Creative cooking, that's what happens in my kitchen - bung things in a pan and so long as you stick to stuff you like it's bound to taste okay.

So tonight we are having a veg, bean and chicken style quorn attempt at curry, with rice. It tastes quite nice but I can guarantee you wouldn't find it in any Indian restaurant, or indeed any cookbook :rotfl:However, it is free!

We are having "spanish chicken" but not following a recipe as such.

Using up chicken pieces, onions, courgettes and aubergines with garlic and chopped tomatoes and home made garlic and coriander naan to go with it.

DD helpfully calculated calories and suggested I have a wrap with chicken at N****s at lunchtime. After I had eaten most of it she found the calories were a lot higher  Wish I had just ordered what I fancied in the first place now!!

So hot and sticky I don't fancy eating but suppose I will have to have a small portion if only to check how it tastes.
