First, a confession
I've never liked superfart soup, I've always just tolerated it.
However, needs must and I was making some today, but I didn't have the exact ingredients in, so I freestyled it a bit:
2 tins chopped tomatoes
1 tin heinz baked beans
1 tin heinz five beans
1 tin green lentils
Half a bag of tesco frozen mixed peppers
5 small carrots
2 small onions
2 parsnips
2 leeks
4 crushed garlic cloves
1 tbsp chilli flakes
2 chicken oxo cubes
A good sprinkle of mixed herbs
Water to cover
Slow cooked for 5 hours on high, then blended
I will NEVER make it the old way again, it's absolutely delicious and, ahem, working.
Worth a try if you're not a fan...0 -

Oh, Annie, I hope you perk up soon.
Lantanna - keep pounding that treadmill - and him into ground metaphorically.
Well, it was WI today and I lost 2lbs!!! I think that was the previous week's efforts hanging over, cos I remember being disappointed with STS, so I'll have to be extra vigilant this week to avoid a plus at next week's WI, if you follow me.
Tuesday's Menu
Breakfast: poached eggs, beans, hexb toast, shape 0% coconut & pineapple yogurt
Lunch: soup made from the leftover chicken chasseur - yum, 4 Tesco multigrain grackers (5 syns) and 2 hexa laughing cow triangles
Dinner: caribbean pepperpot stew, boiled rice
Snacks: 3 x Werthers Original (3 syns)
Total: 8 syns
Probably I will have a chocolate digestive (3 syns) for supper
Syns Bank Balance: 94 syns for 6 days
Oh and my football team won the Stirlingshire Cup tonight - onwards and upwardsSewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -

I use the Keejays goldfish Chinese curry sauce concentrate and it is 4 syns for 1 level tbsp. of the paste and then you add water to make the sauce
Tracey
Thanks! Sounds similar to the one I use (adding water) so less Syns than I thought.
Menu for today:
B - Oats, FF yoghurt with fruit
L - SW lemon and herb pasta made with FF creme fraiche with poached chicken and salad leaves
D - SW Beef Ragu pasta recipe
Hmmm, that's a lot of pasta in one day!
Snacks: Fruit.
Drinks: Tea, coffee and water.
Trying to keep the number of Syns down as I had a naughty but nice Indian takeaway on Monday night (I did opt for the chicken Tikka though).
Body Magic - the usual 40 minute dog walk and I cycle to and from work (12km round trip).
Approaching TOTM and starting to feel bloated....Does anyone notice a difference on the scales at this time of the month?0 -

Good news is DH does not have COPD. They are now treating him for an agressive infection and will repeat tests in 6 weeks to see if his heart has been affected. He was also apparently had an allergic reaction to one of the drugs he is taking which has not helped. If he responds to treatment ok we shouldn't have to cancel our holiday as we are not flying (he moaned about going by ferry when I booked up).
Thank you to everyone for your good wishes.
That really is excellent news outoffunds. I'm sure your holiday will be extra special nowI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Well done Twinkletoes
I know this sounds horribly vain but I'm really looking forward to wearing a slim pencil skirt and little camisole tonight. I've lost the weight since I worked with these former colleagues and while I've seen many of them since I know they'll be impressed.;)
Not vain at all, just human nature. I hope you knocked 'em all dead (and had a wonderful time)I let my mind wander and it never came back!0
