Soooo, in the interest if getting to target, I will plan each day in advance.
Monday 1 September
B - porridge, skimmed milk, raspberries, blackberries, banana (HEA & HEB)
L - chilli beef rice bake. Packed with tomato, onion, leeks and mushrooms so no extra super free.
D - Iceland sliced minted lamb, SW roast potatoes, carrot, spinach.
Syns - Freddo (5) chipsticks (5.5)
Drinks - diet Pepsi, water
Body magic - walk 4 miles home and then go for a 5k run (if my car is back from the garage) otherwise just walk home.
I have 19lb to lose to get to target, so I want to do that within this challenge.
Good luck for the next 8 weeks everyone. I will be back tomorrow to update on Tuesday menu, which will pretty much the same as Mondays!!!

Reporting back on the SW Scotch Eggs - pleased to report they were a success. DS used the Sainsburys Be Good To Yourself Sausages (1 syn each on EE) as per the recipe but we are going to try them next time with the 5% lean beef mince or turkey to get the syns down a little bit. They were coated in crushed Scan Bran and it was a bit of a stretch to get all the eggs covered. It said we needed 3 eggs for coating the eggs before rolling in Scan Bran and in all honesty I think 1 egg would have been sufficient. Overall they were a success and DS said he much preferred them to shop bought ones.
We have also had Pulled Pork for tea using the dry rub (thanks Shala). Cooked it in the slow cooker, on balls of foil (as reccommended here) and added 1/2 cup of stock. It was cooked to perfection - we served it with the bbq sauce and plain boiled potatoes, carrots, brocolli and beans.
We have also tried meg's lemon curd - mixed it with quark and made a bit of a cake type of thing and sandwiched it together using the lemon mixture. We based the cake on the brownie recipe - replacing the cocoa with flour. It was ok but a bit on the heavy side - it seemed to rise and in no time seemed to sink a bit. However - the whole cake was 6 syns - so by the time we divided it up - not too bad.
We have a beef joint in the freezer and DH has suggested that we try cooking it the same way as the Pulled Pork.
Sounds as though we have been quite industrious in the kitchen today methinks.

Thanks Annie, for the chart. Sorry I didn't give you much to do, but at least I didn't go up!
I'll try posting menus the night before, to see if that helps me do better. I'll have to work hard at sticking to plan from Monday to Friday as DH and I are away from next Saturday until Monday.
Here goes:
Monday:
Breakfast: scrambled egg on hexb toast, tomatoes
Lunch: Whatever is left in the Fridge Soup, Fruitopolis (0.5 syns)
Dinner: cottage pie with carrot & potato (& sweet potato if I remember to buy some) mash topping, peas, Hartley's jelly (0.5 syns)
Snacks: choc digestive (3 syns), hexa 2 mini babybel (bought original instead of light, doh!) with grapes
That's 4 syns planned, so there should be enough for an extra snack in there that sneaks up on me!Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
